Incredible what happens when you have intensity and effort

Every game I have watched this year the winner has been able to maintain a greater level of intensity than the other. Plus a bit more skill. Every game is a scrap...it's awful to watch...and goal kicking is even more important than ever.

Yup I edited my post as I got it wrong.

Reeves has gone from claims he’d never play a game and was a nepotism listing to being an AFL-level ruckman. Let’s not discount him having more upside in him. Rucks generally don’t really hit their strides until their mid-20s so I’m willing to see how Lynch and Reeves go this season and not want to cash in our chips and scour the state leagues.

Pretty sure HR doesn't want to talk about Reeves playing senior footy

Tonight's game helped to add a bit of context to the Daicos criticism, seemed to have a great game - 27 touches, good efficiency... 3 score involvements. Will be a very good player no doubt but feels more Matt Crouch than Gaz Jr.

Will get wild praise and a lot of it deservedly so, but I think Daicos is going to suffer dramatically from the fact that he's been hyped up so much.
If he was merely spoken of as a round one pick father son, I'd say that was an amazing debut. But given he was spoken of as better than jesus and more likely to bring peace to the middle east than racial harmony I was disappointed.

Daicos had a great debut game. Hard to criticise that.

Yes he is being hyped up alot but not his fault. I enjoy seeing sons of guns go around so goodluck to him.

Also I must say the first 3 games of the season have been really good to watch. Haven't thought that in a long time.

Haha I’m not emotionally invested in Daicos or anyone for that matter but score involvements especially off HB aren’t a great way of looking at a defenders game. And I don’t see your comments anywhere close to correct either or the way you saw it. You compared him to Matt Crouch ffs.

The difference is however that, like it or not, one of them is Wayne Carey who is a great footballer. He will always have an underlying fan base which makes 'redemption' possible.

Tom Morris is a nobody with no fame / footballing exploits and there will be a long line of hungry individuals desperate for his jobs.

Even if he gets back it will be on a massively diminished basis.

They absolutely have an identity and heritage - 149 years of hoping they might get a slight chance of maybe making up the numbers. It’s a proud history of sometimes being an okay team every once in a while.

Not many teams can boast such long standing dedication to being such a completely unthreatening force.

The stand for SAINTS FOOTY, essentially they build hope and rip it away.

However if they added a Dustin Martin type player it makes their whole side better, they are missing that elite of the elite player, they unfortunately should sell the farm
