They get Gold Coast, we get West Coast - the AFL have been perfectly fair & made us both front up against teams with "Coast" in their names. What more can we ask for?
Same word, same pronunciation, but different meanings: Ours means difficult opponents, West Coast; Theirs means coast to an easy win. However, having watched the little master yesterday, the AFL may have got this one wrong!

Clarko probably could

The problem is, Melbourne want him to play attacking footy, despite them having no defence

Put him in a side like hawthorn, west coast or even the cats, and he'd be a great addition
He's playing loose across half back like Goddard would, but with zero possessions. He's playing loose & the only time he's been near it is when Schultz marked the ball from the front row.

I also think he could be good in a good team but wouldn't want to pay to get him.

Don't let one act cloud your judgement, he's a quality player
"Quality" is a strong word. He's definitely a player though, a hell of a lot more than most of his teammates are.

What a player - what a performance. Definitely one of the absolute best players I have had the pleasure of watching. Better than his dad - not as good as his dad. I don't know, two different players really.

When players become this good, superlative is an obsolete word.

Yep - what a player:thumbsu:

I don't quite get the "little master" stuff.
He's a pretty good midfielder and works well inside & outside, but he gets a lot of possessions in the defensive half.

And he's never tagged.

I have seen them both, and they played different games, but Junior is one of the best to watch playing at present.

As much as that was a good win by Port, it was a free wheeling game played with moderate intensity. A loose man in defense should clean up.

You could count on one hand the number of teams that Watts would get a game in right now. If he doesn't improve, he could well find himself the marquee recruit for a B grade amateur side in 2014.

He's a bit better than "pretty good" Dave.
What weaknesses does he need to improve on to become "really good"?

Jack Watts wasn't playing loose in defence, he actually was being tagged by a defensive forward(I forget who) he probably wasn't used to that.
Also he generally doesn't play loose he is usually minding an opponent which his obvious when at the game but not on TV when the commentators make shit up. Melbourne under Neeld rarely have a 7 man backline.
