I too don't mind eddy and while he does have the best interests of the pies first and foremost he also genuinely loves the game so when he does open his mouth he normally is on the money. It's also amusing watching him and newbold Taking it in turns to pot Sydney - seems they are forging a pretty strong, united front

Ditto. Always liked Ed.

Good play by play commentator too.

The media circus over the latest MRP 'scoundrel' more & more resembles an old Medieval punishment of putting said player into the 'stocks' in the local town market place for everyone to toss their garbage at....'Scape-Goatism' encapsulating the worst aspects of humanity.

FWIW I reckon Vickery has been harshly done by here....Sure he should have copped his right 'whack' but I notice that Cox's head collected his Hip on the way down & reckon THAT was the cause for his concussion & not the initial hit....Very surprised this 'FACT' has not been given more acknowledgement....I would have been fine with 3 weeks down to 2.

This whole Monday media circus is becoming as distasteful as it is embarrassing.....The media-ites purging their own guilt & shame!
Not saying you are right about the cocussion (not saying you are wrong either) but isn't Vickery liable for the consequential injury? Cox doesn't get concussion if Vickery doesn't hit him.

bit difficult if the bud is lying flat face down
Ok...provided Bud is lying face down and is then deemed unfit to play for the entire finals series. But, only because Jasinta has discovered that football is a rather rough and unsavoury game and she doesn't want her precious, pretty Buddy Wuddy lover boy hurt physically as well as pyschologically (as per last Saturday).

Any chance of the drug cheats beating the $wans this week?

Yes
I think they play a style that can put swans backline under the pump and now that the SCG is no longer the size of a postage stamp it's going to suit a lot of other teams game plan rather than just the rugby scrum.

I give them a good chance if they can move the ball quickly. Swans have a 6 day break while the Bomber have had 14 days with the bye.
Sydney will probably bounce back though. Hard to see them dropping 2 in a row.

Would love to see the meltdown if they did though :)

HAWTHORN

No Buddy, no worries for the Hawks this season, as Luke Breust and Jack Gunston have filled his gaping hole magnificently, with both averaging career-high goals and disposals per game. They both sit inside the top 10 on the Coleman Medal table, with Breust booting 45 goals and Gunston 41. On top of that, Gunston is ranked 12th in the league for total marks inside 50, while Breust is ranked third for average goal assists. The exciting Isaac Smith continues to improve, averaging a career-high 23 disposals per game, while Bradley Hill has improved so much that he is starting to cop tags from opposition midfielders. And it’s a case of third-time lucky for Matt Spangher, who is enjoying a career-best year at his third club. He’s accumulating more disposals than ever before and is ranked third at the Hawks for average spoils."

Think the word "the" might have been more appropriate here

http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/por...rss&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed

PORT Adelaide is bracing itself for a raid from interstate clubs for its superstar youngster Chad Wingard.

And one of the main threats that has flagged its interest in the talented forward is premiership threat Hawthorn, which has a history of attracting the players they want through aggressive trading.

Power football operations chief Peter Rohde took a pragmatic view to the byplay, but said Port was prepared for persistent offers from other clubs.

“We think he’ll be aggressively pursued, there’s no doubt about that,’’ Rohde said.

“But that’s the world we live in.’’

Wingard is contracted to the Power until the end of 2016, but the Hawks have previously been able to acquire players through the trade that include top-liners such as Shaun Burgoyne (Port Adelaide), Ben McEvoy (St Kilda), Jack Gunston (Adelaide), David Hale (North Melbourne), Josh Gibson (North Melbourne) and Brian Lake (Western Bulldogs).

Yet another media hype about the Hawks going after players from other clubs, methink. Just because Clarko and Lewis mentioned his name when answering media questions.
