Why don't the umpires have an equivalent of the MRP to investigate them after games. I know they have a review, but does they do any good. I dislike Carlton with a passion, but Geelong are going past them and are almost on the same level as $hitme. They have won 5 or 6 games, 9LOST 00 by under 2 goals this season; I would love to see an analysis of how many were "UMPIRE ASSISTED!"

Gotta laugh at all the comments regarding Geelong, how poor they look, and how next week we will smash them!
Same comments have been made since 2009!

Since then we've won.................

Once!
But that once was so glorious

I'd venture to suggest that in the last 3 weeks in a row Thaihawk, the umpires have been directly complicit in getting the CATS the 4 points in all 3 matches...Throw in the other Carlton game earlier this year & the pattern becomes as disconcerting as this year's draw 4 the AFL Swines. Throw in those MRP decisions re both Buddy & Johnson & the grounds for concern become increasingly manifest.

There is now a clear & distinct agenda on a two-fold level operating this year to deny the HFC a top 2 spot & ensure we face our nemesis come the first week of the finals.

God I would love it if both we & Freo knocked the Swines & Cats off in the first week of the finals....Mind you, we'll both need to beat the umps, the MRP & the AFL to boot in order to fulfil said fantasy!

I would rather win it courtesy of a BS free kick like you copped against you last night. It would be hell for my heart, but reading the game day thread would be glorious.

NEVER GONNA HAPPEN....The entire umpiring department must have money on the CATS if this year's efforts are any gauge....On top of the ladder with a percentage befitting an 8th/9th place side says it all really.

Also....Remember last years prelim, where they were directly complicit in the Cats getting a 20 point lead in that 3rd quarter!!!!...Rioli marks it, Bartel smacks the ball out of his hands, the umpire calls play-on knowing full well that paying the mark would mean 50 metres and a certain goal to Hawthorn!...Cats then take the ball to the other end & goal!....12 point turn around followed by the howler of a decision to throw the ball in when it clearly went out on the full off a CATS player resulting in another goal from the throw-in!

We have been on the wrong end of CATS losses now & I'd say a good 50% of those can easily be attested to the umpiring....What their blokes get away with against us time & again is now beyond a joke!....How could you possibly imagine that this scenario will end any time soon?!

I know the thought of a conspiracy sounds ridiculous, but just how much hard factual evidence can you ignore. It does appear as though the AFL has a hidden agenda!

This is doing the rounds on Twitter today...

And the "preceding" victory in 2008 caused everyone outside of Hawthorn to dine on large doses of humble pie.

It would be just as meaningful, if not more-so to do the same again in 2014.

To shut up all the jealous haters, critics and biased hacks for another season would make for a great summer.

How much are these ruddy commentators paid to pump up $hitme's tyres. Even to praise the arena as if it's up there with the G. Basil is such a nob.
Yeh the constant talk up of Sydney is a bit much, just about time to change channel or mute it I think. Plus the game is getting really boring now battle of the floods.
