Geez. Carlton are a very average side aren't they. When will Mick stop living in denial and just accept Carlton need to begin the inevitable rebuild. They have a couple of good players in a sea of mediocrity.

Last week I said that Carlton's problem and the reason for being so unsuccessful for 15 years wasn't the salary cap breach, but the trade for Judd.

Tonight pretty much confirms it, surely. Judd has done nothing since being at Carlton other than win a Brownlow for simply being near the football. Right now when the club needs a leader, he's about as useful as **** on a bull. Done nothing except grimace to feign that he's working hard. It's been like that for the entire time he's been there. Will still get praised as being one of their best as per usual.

Meanwhile the bloke they got rid of to get this one-way runner for average skills on a good day has kicked 8 and there's still a quarter and 5 mins to go in the third. To make matters worse, the bloke they traded out, has kicked more than the entire Carlton score. Did I mention they got another player who's been better than the rest of the Carlton midfield tonight too.

It's typical Carlton, always looking for the quick fix scheme to achieve greatness and it's typical Carlton watching it blow up in their face.

They have no plan. They grab the ball in defence & they run/kick it out, hoping for the best. They rush forward as fast as possible & hope that when they get there, they'll have options. They're in all sorts of trouble this season - they're bottom 4. I'd much rather be St Kilda than these clowns.

In the much-maligned War Room before the game, they had a graphic of the Visy Recycling Truck pull up with players Carlton has got rid of in the last few years. 2 of the 4 have been demonstrably dumb moves so far - Betts is lighting it up at the Crows, and Garlett has made a fantastic start for Melbourne.

Pretty much. I mean just look at one of their kicks out of defence in the 2nd quarter (highlight on the AFL site). Yarran, one of their experienced and "best" players, kicks in a slow, high ball straight down the corridor. Surprise surprise, the long ball drop allows Kennedy and co to swarm the drop, turnover and goal. Just woeful football.

Garlett is not much chop at all

You watch the blues and shake your head. Really amongst all their issues two stand out tonight the same as they did last season.

A third of their side cannot kick properly. And I mean not below average, they just can't do it. Ellard, Carazzo, Curnow, Bell, Jones, Casboult, Wood are absolute butchers.

They currently have an unbelievable poor spine. Henderson is just adequate as a forward, Jones is a horrific footballer, Casboult is the worst kick in the entire AFL and not much chop as second ruck, Wood is not even remotely AFL standard, Jamison in the worst form of his career and already conceded 12 goals in 2015, Rowe is ok I don't mind him. Then young Jaksch who is not up to the level yet and that unco Warnock. Kreuzer is injured of course.

I mean really, you will never feast your eyes on a bigger bunch of battlers in an AFL side.

LOL. What I like most about Carlton is that they never learn

They'll go after another Chris Judd type star, and send most of their salary cap on him
And THEN go for another big-name coach, and pay him a couple of million.

And still will be craphouse ...

Carlton just going through the motions. Doing their 120 minutes, grab paycheck, repeat. o_O

I cannot fathom how any player is allowed to kick 10 goals in modern footy.

I'm not watching the game but following score updates, and can only guess at how shocking Carlton's defense must be to let this happen.

It's pretty easy when your opposition only runs one way with the quickest downhill skier in the AFL as your inspirational leader.
