I watched the replay of our game and noticed many times Motlop chose to have a shot at goal when there were 2-3 options short.

He's not suited to our unselfish forward play.

Swans to pick him up on a 9 year mega deal by seasons end!;)

He does lack a bit of a defensive game which I believe Clarko could drill into him but if he comes cheap he's well worth a punt.
True. Punky took ages to break through because of his lack of tackling. He also got dropped for finals in 2011?? due to his lack of pressure towards the end of that year. Hill was not a very good defensive player early doors either. Neither of those guys has the attitude that the Twirler displays though. Apparently Scott or Selwood commented a week or two ago that a couple of players had too much faith in their own abilities i.e were happy to put themselves ahead of the club. If this relates to Twirler, I wouldn't even want him allowed in the Waverly grand stand, let alone playing any games for us.

Good point and even our own guys will hopefully pick that up from the last qtr last week. When we took the mental foot off we have players taking shots with options open that they would normally take. The result?? 1.8!! Hope that is picked up on in the game reviews.

Wonder if he will seek a trade at years end, would love him at Hawthorn but only if he gets rid of that ******* twirling finger.

Is Motlop the player who runs around in circles, with his eyes rolling around in his head?

And then gives the ball to the opposition?

Bet on freo - cats are panicking
My thoughts too. Signs for Geelong this early in the year are not good. Old players look cooked or complacent, discipline issues, no real urge to put respectability on the scoreboard last week.

Its easy to speculate without evidence but these are the sorts of signs I'd expect to see from a club who's coach has lost the players.

so Motlop got suspended because of Hawthorn players sledging him during the game about drinking beer at a local footy match in Colac on Good Friday.
the Cats players overheard and confronted him about it. this led to the suspension.
If this is true it's hilarious.

I think the funniest thing about the whole thing is how he was sledged for having a beer! Amazing the cultural change in footy in just a couple of years and says a lot about the mindset at the hawks.

How awesome is it that out guys sledges him about drinking before a game. Even more hilarious is that it led to him being caught out about it. Twirler would have been furious. I think it shows we don't have any respect for him. I hope it was Hodgeys brother he was with, that would be the icing on the cake

I read on the main board he was with Simpkin aswell

Did anyone else catch AFL 360 on Tuesday night where Jordan Lewis mentioned that his wife was due "towards the end of the year" and that he didn't listen to Leigh Matthews advice that footy players should always have protected sex with their partners in January? I hope this doesn't become a grand final count down baby!
