Wonder if he will seek a trade at years end, would love him at Hawthorn but only if he gets rid of that ******* twirling finger.
Hill, Smith & Hartung are enough outside runners for now

Lazy and often selfish player. Don't need or want him.Wonder if he will seek a trade at years end, would love him at Hawthorn but only if he gets rid of that ******* twirling finger.
I'd have faith in Clarkson drilling that selfishness out of him, be a great player if he ran both ways.Lazy and often selfish player. Don't need or want him.
I watched the replay of our game and noticed many times Motlop chose to have a shot at goal when there were 2-3 options short.
He's not suited to our unselfish forward play.
True. Punky took ages to break through because of his lack of tackling. He also got dropped for finals in 2011?? due to his lack of pressure towards the end of that year. Hill was not a very good defensive player early doors either. Neither of those guys has the attitude that the Twirler displays though. Apparently Scott or Selwood commented a week or two ago that a couple of players had too much faith in their own abilities i.e were happy to put themselves ahead of the club. If this relates to Twirler, I wouldn't even want him allowed in the Waverly grand stand, let alone playing any games for us.He does lack a bit of a defensive game which I believe Clarko could drill into him but if he comes cheap he's well worth a punt.
Good point and even our own guys will hopefully pick that up from the last qtr last week. When we took the mental foot off we have players taking shots with options open that they would normally take. The result?? 1.8!! Hope that is picked up on in the game reviews.I watched the replay of our game and noticed many times Motlop chose to have a shot at goal when there were 2-3 options short.

Bet on freo - cats are panickingTrouble at the Cattery too, Steve Motlop has been stood down for 'failing to meet standards expected' and won't be playing either AFL or VFL this week.

My thoughts too. Signs for Geelong this early in the year are not good. Old players look cooked or complacent, discipline issues, no real urge to put respectability on the scoreboard last week.Bet on freo - cats are panicking
One of Geelong's top 5 players coming cheap? He does lack a bit of a defensive game which I believe Clarko could drill into him but if he comes cheap he's well worth a punt.
If this is true it's hilarious.so Motlop got suspended because of Hawthorn players sledging him during the game about drinking beer at a local footy match in Colac on Good Friday.
the Cats players overheard and confronted him about it. this led to the suspension.
Lovely inside jobThis is getting better by the minute, apparently one of the people Motlop was drinking with was Hodgey's brother

Hence the groin injury?I Wonder which of our players sent their Mum over to Fletcher's house?
If this is true it's hilarious.
I read on the main board he was with Simpkin aswellHow awesome is it that out guys sledges him about drinking before a game. Even more hilarious is that it led to him being caught out about it. Twirler would have been furious. I think it shows we don't have any respect for him. I hope it was Hodgeys brother he was with, that would be the icing on the cake
Joffa is always good for us..on and now off the field!I read on the main board he was with Simpkin aswell
