Dees look bog average without the Claz.
The flow on effect is Petracca having to play more inside the contest to compensate. Weakens both their inside and outside game.

Petracca still a freak though being to so easily switch between the two roles.

Unashamedly one-eyed here but the Hawks of last week would’ve wiped both these sides tonight. We are so close, it’s not funny.
There were signs for one quarter we could match it with the dees. We seem to have taken confidence from what we did right and doubled down on it v west coast. Saints was the culmination. Be interesting to see if we can sustain it now that we know what it looks like.

Carlton’s game plan as such would be very easy to coach against.
Kick long down the line, win the spillage and hope the two tall blokes mark it, seems to be the Voss approach.
Answer to that is open the other side of the ground up a split them down the middle with run.
Melbourne haven’t done that yet to any extent but they they should win this fairly comfortably.

McKay with a weird reverse banana and misses from thirty metres. Poor guy is mentally screwed in front of goals.
He should come to Hawthorn, where we welcome poor kicking at goal!

Carlton would be close if they didn't keep going for long entries.
They need to bypass Lever and May.
Yeah but Melbourne (8.13) would be heaps further in front of they kicked straight

Carltons plan of bombing it long down the line is worse than ours- we at least had someone try to fly for it, they refuse to do even that.

I originally thought Carlton would be kn the up this year but they genuinely look like they've gone backwards.

Dow needs to play full games as somehow he's one of their better users. Tonight would really sting

Gee Dees stole van Rooyen at pick 19.

I keep hearing, be patient with young talls. But in recent years first round picks, Naughton, the Kings, Jackson, English, Amiss and van Rooyen prove otherwise.

Third season in and DGB remains miles off...

I can't be bothered checking, but it's Van Rooyen going to kick more goals than Kosi in his 1st year?

Full disclosure... I tried checking but can't work the AFL app.:straining:
