Rossy. Gone whack already.

Too many bulls in the paddock.
Watch Gubby Allen step straight into this role. SOS, Lyon and Gubby are super tight. They tried to orchestrate this exact thing over at the blues but fortunately for Carlton, wiser heads prevailed and veto'd the move. Looks like they have their claws in at the Saints now.

According to The Age, AFL does not have a stand down policy!

Time to put in the next player CBA - pretty embarrassing that someone on serious charges can carry on like nothing has happened.

The AFL really needs a stand down rule that applies for any incidents involving violence and threats.

I guess why clubs are so reluctant to do anything is that the wheels of justice turn very slowly and they don’t want to be punishing someone who may be innocent.
The NRL rule assumes the worst at the beginning.

In TT’s case, the AFL integrity unit has passed the ball to the cops. Not a good sign.

I would hate to be involved in North’s AFLW program at the moment. Be mighty uncomfortable.

Usually if a player hasn't been charged it comes down to the club and how innocent they believe the player is. In Patton's case it's pretty obvious what Hawthorn thought.
Obviously, whilst the presumption of innocence is sacrosanct, there are situations where the available evidence is compelling to the objective viewer.

Nowadays, it’s easier for investigators to gather probative evidence from social media / SMS / email traffic as the threat/offensive behaviour has been reduced to writing / images.

It not like someone picks up a landline and says nasty words to someone else these days.

The modern “conversation” invariably speaks for itself, because the evidentiary dialogue is in the SMS messages as the instant transcript.

So I’m surprised that North haven’t come out and taken swift action today due to the number of complaints and the fact there’s messages authored by him which are out in the public sphere.

Anyhow it’s Thomas’ problem, and North’s as his employer. Thankfully not ours!
