I would not be surprised if the HFC is not affected by the storm that came through Melbourne Tuesday afternoon.

Driving past Waverley Park last night and the whole of that area from Haverbrack Drive up to the Freeway along Wellington Road was in total blackout.

No traffic lights, no street lights. The only lights from the big Woolworths distribution center as they would have their own power to keep their frozen and refrigerated items cold.

Quite errie.

So, I finally got somewhere tracking down my family history. And turns our my 5x great grandfather was a parkhurst boy, 1 of 100 boys sent to aus for petty crimes (his was 7 years transport for stealing a pair of shoes at age 10)

Anyway, looking for groups on Facebook, and type in "parkhurst boys" and I get the result for "Collingwood supporters group"

Dees look in disarray at the moment. Would have loved to play them round one but round two will have to do. A forward line of Fritz, Van Rooyen, Picket and Schache should be manageable for our defense unless Petracca plays a blinder with his radar on.

May and Lever are possibly our biggest stumbling blocks so maybe we could consider some boundary side forward entries whilst our key forwards are being guarded down the spine. Reeves matched up well with big Maxxie last time and I feel our mids will relish the challenge.
Am I wrong in thinking Pickett is suspended for the first two games? Or was it just the one?

The fumble wasn’t good but he’s going to bully players his whole career. Scary to think how strong he will be in 4-5 years time.

He will probably develop into a beast, but remember, he isn't doing that against strong oppo.
I Remember Jack watts dominating a preseason hitout for Melbourne, look how that turned out

Ginbey is young but an absolute beast himself.

as Harley gets stronger he'll be doing that to most.. has the technique.

We don’t get to see the weights anymore but the recent photo of Ginbey makes him look stacked yet Reid handled him easily.

No matter how good he becomes from here it’s just going to be fun watching him.

It's more than muscle and size though. The bulkiest players can get rag dolled if they don't have the right core strength.

I do think Reid will be a gun though, just pointing out that it's way too early.

I'm sure we could find preseason clips of players that never played a senior game that would scream superstar

I suspect it is also technique he has done martial arts from an early age so would have better than average smarts about how to execute rather than just relying on raw strength.
