I don't understand why Sheezel signed to 2030. Genuinely not sure how him, Wardlaw, Duursma and McKercher survive this.

Apart from Larkey, who are their senior leaders? Zurhaar and LDU have one foot out the door already.
If North are dissolved in a couple years he'll probably get his contract paid out by the AFL and then be a free agent who is free to sign a thumper with the highest bidder.

They are continually profitable and have been debt free for a couple of years. It's a pathetic club but they're not really on dire straits. Their financials wouldn't likely be as rosy if they had to give an early pay-out to a coach on $2M a season though.
The AFL does give them $8m more (that we know of) than they give Hawthorn.

What happens when North has to replace the Tassie money? Hawks are not going to have much fun with that either although we might hold onto something being in Launceston.

Didn't realise it was that long ! From memory it was after they were 2-0 last year . Smart from North , not so much from Sheezal and his management .

He looked deflated yesterday , during and after game . Maybe the reality of a '5 year build' has set in.

Will they get magical band 1 compo each (ie priority picks)

They could offer a new Mazda with every Kangaroos membership and still struggle to get people to sign up.
Haha, came to post the same thing.

As awful as North is there’s every chance crows put in a shocker against them at lose. Crows were very lucky Carlton choked against them.
Crows forwardline will look like billionaires against North.

It has Tex and Fogarty kicking 8 between them with Rankine kicking 5 written all over it .

What I thought was disturbing for North yesterday was their build-your-team-around-him player, for lack of a better term, has already played 100 games and the side around him hasn’t even remotely been formed. He’s basically going to be approaching his twilight when they are ready to challenge—if they get anywhere near challenging.
Because they keep drafting midfielders

Everyone seems to know this bar them

Exactly. They're propped up as much as the expansion clubs!

I took great pleasure in reading that the knob North supporter who declared in a number of threads over summer that Hawthorn were yet to bottom out, or to truly start their rebuild, who was bumping said threads as soon as we’d get behind on the scoreboard and who was here lurk-liking gameday and autopsy posts in our losses had his “heart broken” yesterday.

Sucked in dickhead.

If there is one thing I'll commend about that particular poster is they will front up win or loss.

Unlike some other Norfies who disappear for six months of a season before returning after draft day spewing tripe all summer.

I think he's only challenged by the Carlton posters in the tanking thread. Boy, there's some projection going on there....

You can certainly see which posters have been damaged by Hawthorn over the years.
