I don't think it's a great logo design but also not as bad as everyone is making out. The red on red is an odd choice though given their club song says they are "the ones in red, gold and blue". Though I did see their alternate strip is gold and blue, so I guess they've kind of covered that problem.

I think its god awful. At best, they've moved laterally compared to their old branding. The colour contrast is just bizarre and sugar on top really.

It feels like they tried to rebrand to look similar to the monogram nature of the Giants, but made a logo that is more dated than a brand that was designed 10 years ago. Impressive feat.

I actually thought their previous logo was one of the worst in the league, so I see this one as a small step in the right direction. Just saw an edit someone made to the red-red jumper design that made the logo yellow/gold and it looks way better.

I agree, it's not as bad as people are saying. Better than what they had. Agree about the contrast problem. Good contrast is central to good design as a rule but I don't mind the red on red if it was a training top, agree it isn't strong enough as the main playing guernsey.

See our brown training guernsey - which I love - as a comparison. Our contrast is much stronger though if the images we've seen are accurate.

Saw a video on social media this morning of their big jumper reveal and you can actually hear someone in the crowd close to the camera say to someone next to them "is this meant to be a training jumper?"

I've just had look at the GCS's club promotional videos - lots of comments about it being okay for a training jumper! As a main home jumper, it's a fail - the logo is almost invisible even in the offical videos.

I think I'm alone in saying I quite like the new Suns logo/jersey.

It gives vaporwave/retrofuturism which I actually think is an underutilised aesthetic.

The colours feel like the brand is AFL lead to market to china, then they fitted everything else around the red and gold
