Massive hit on a dees player. Lined hrr up and took her out with an elbow to the head. Taking a lot of time to get her off the field. They are treating it like a neck injury. No cart. Have to carry her off on the neck stretcher.
Edit - she was knocked out but has regained consciousness.
Great second half. Happy to watch that level for the next few weeks.
That game was a cracker.
Yeah bit of shoveling the ball and miss kicks , but the good handballs out of congestion , hard tackling and throw in some absolute quality ball movement by the Dees , with at least one of the Dees kicks (or should I say dart) into inside 50 , was A grade.
Low kick onto a leading forward.
I think what I enjoyed the most was some of the girls ability to show the ball and step around the opposition.
Great competition, and hey our girls beat the Dees last week .

Watching the Pies lose is still good in the AFLW.
I would go further and say watching the Pies absolutely dominate the first half and then , getting pantsed in the 2nd.
Brilliant footy by Melb. in the 3rd.
Bad luck Pies, Gees don't we play them next week.
Ps I did feel sorry for the Pies girl that cried as she was walking off, a little.

Especially when Collingwood had the run of the frees, when they ran the ball at the end they looked good, but too little too late.

Melbourne have some good sized keys at both ends.

Good to see the games opening up and the skills rising second week in, along with the scores. Was bound to happen, cannot imagine the nerves that would have been happening in that first round. As they get more into the groove of playing together and over the nerves the standard should continue to get better as the week's go by. Heck even with the guys we see this every season, the first few weeks are pretty ordinary and that's with a whole pre season and multiple warm up games, not a few weeks of 3 nights a week and one warm up.

Where did you find the photo? It certainly is a good one.
google Tayla Harris images.

Since tassie doesn't have an afl team wouldnt the women's comp have been a good opportunity to put a team there?
