For the PC dudes and history nerds, this is out tomorrow and still 20% off on Steam. Follow up to Expeditions Vikings. Looking forward to it as I've been on a massive Roman binge of late which was only fueled further after the missus got me an authentic Roman denarius (from the time of Severus) for Christmas.

edit: pre-release sale is over so back to full price.

This is actually pretty neat. Typical British accent cringe for dialogue, but extra points for paying attention to proper classical Latin pronounciation of the traditional words rather than the later ecclesiastical Latin.

Cities Skylines Airport DLC out this week. Included in the update is roads where you can change the trees on roads.
The tree change is a game changer. Such a small thing but makes the world of difference. I just wish you could turn it off - so many times I have been filling in gaps with trees and accidentally changed the street trees.

Also the new map pack and trees are great too.

I'm loving some of the new maps in the creator pack. Been playing around with a few new city build ideas in Mountain Taper. These maps come with some pretty crazy interchanges too that I've been studying. I haven't even loaded up my big city to try the air port yet (also because I was having a few goods and customer issues I've been reluctant to try and fix 😁).

I play it on both PlayStation and PC and would love some of the PC mods to become standard features in any Cities Skylines 2 should one ever come. Namely the traffic manager mod because it just seems normal to be able to dictate turning lanes, no left/right turn at particular intersections etc.

I just purchased my first proper gaming laptop to be able to play it on PC with some mods.... it surprisingly works on my surface pro 6 but chugs hard. Laptop should be posted shortly.

From what I remember of playing it on PC years ago... I actually enjoy the PS controls more - although that may change.

Completely agree with you on some of the mods as well as general DLC now - it should all be standard for any CS2. I had heard a rumour of CS2 but surely cannot be the case if they have just released Airports. Whilst it would be lovely to having a new version for aesthetics and mechanics, they have done a phenomenal job by allowing so many mods and content packs from the community to be freely integrated over the years.

Visiting my parents today, going through some old games and found a complete in very good condition box Majora's Mask

actually missing the cart, but the box and inserts are worth the most

"you have a show"
"You have a show"
/Oprah meme

Whilst video game movies are for the most part shit, video game tv shows are getting produced by high quality studios and will likely be amazing.

I honestly don't understand why there hasn't been a Mass Effect show or movie yet. It's more suited than any series I can think of.

Elder Scrolls would be nice too.

Unreal Engine 5 has now been officially released.

I'll have a play with it tonight. Hopefully some of the performance issues and general glitches are fixed from the beta. Assuming they have but that was the only thing holding me back from prototyping anything before and forcing me back into 4.27 where I realised I sucked at things like lighting, cracked the shits and gave up. 😎

I've been a sucker for the occasional remake here and there, but I'm just about done with it now. I want new games and new IPs.

With gaming now mainstream its heading in the some direction that the movies and the music industry have, decisions made by corporate wanks in suits who probably have never played a game in their lives so they are always conservative and go back to what works.. sorry what makes them money! New I.P's are risky and expensive and take time, remakes are safe and cheaper and pretty much guaranteed money because fans.. suckers buy it (me included) no matter what!
