Really, really old retro forgotten games

Bioforge is janky in all the right ways, the movement and subsequent unintended deaths are hilarious.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who knows of this game lol, always seemed like it was a little obscure but could be wrong.

Lmao I had no idea something like this existed.

Captain Novolin is a 2D side-scroller. The plot of Captain Novolin has the titular hero setting out to save Pineville's diabetic Mayor Gooden from aliens and their leader Blubberman, as the mayor only has enough insulin for 48 hours.”

Holy shit now this is a flashback.

The first time I had to specially order anything. I can't remember where I heard of it, maybe it was in an edition of Disney Adventures or something. Could never find it to hire and could never find it on a shelf. I remember trying to convince my mum it was what I really wanted and she thought it sounded disgusting lol.

this was an interesting one growing up. incomprehensible dice game, wet t-shirt game, pick-up type game, air hockey, and some other slidey catchy one.

YES

Had it on the Amiga 500 - and would always sing Barrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Games........................ BAR GAMES
to the tune of the title screen music :p

Plaque Attack: My favourites rip-off game on the Atari

Basically just a Space Invaders type game but I loved it, hit the spot until I was able to get the real Space Invaders on Gameboy.

Speaking of ripoff games there was one on the Commodore Amiga where it closely resembled Bomberman. Only it had a more "adult" tone.

Sort of related but I figure anyone into retro gaming may find it cool too (or you probably already know about this guy/business as he seems popular in this crowd). I don't have Instagram but often get recommended these videos on my FB reels. Lots of them are things like modding and repairing more common stuff like Gameboy and OG Xbox, but also lots of Amiga, C64, Atari and some really obscure stuff.

I'm not sure how this video will share because it's a link from FB and he hasn't been active on YouTube for years. This one is repairing a previously modded PC Engine.

Anyone with a Commodore 64 remember playing a unique game called Rockstar ate my Hamster? In which you play as a record manager/producer and need to take you band or pop star from garage band to the very top! Loved that game was way ahead of its time and haven't seen anything like it since. I didn't understand the business side of the game playing as a kid but boy did I have fun trying to take my band to the very top of the charts!

I never had a C64, but that looks interesting. First time I’ve heard of it.

I love those wild west days when devs could use the likenesses of celebrities without a licence and give zero f***s about it, lol.

Bloody impossible for me to beat as a kid
Yeah, after the first or second stage it got impossible. I must have played them over and over again since I was 11 or 12. I finally beat it a couple of years ago using an emulator and save states.

The final level is nightmare-inducing, 4th dimension level of hard. It’s ridiculous.
