I did just find something that basically says the teams that finished 7th-18th come back at the same time, so yeah, one more week.

Obviously it can’t be forced, but I’d be thoroughly disappointed if the bulk of the 5+ year players weren’t back day one.
I agree. Usually there’s a few but would want the majority back early.

It is the first time in more than two decades that Melbourne, which finished 17th in 2019 after a preliminary final appearance last year, is heading out of Victoria for its round one match.

The last time was in 1998, when the Demons lost by 23 points to Fremantle at Subiaco, before going on to finish in the top four after claiming the wooden spoon a season earlier.

Hopefully an omen.

Tough game up first is better, IMO. Turn up fit and firing or get drubbed.
On one hand; apart from the disastrous prelim we have played quite well against the Eagles away from home in the past 4 or so seasons.

On the other hand; ****.

I feel like our recently seasons have been rough in the back half of the year.

A fast start is good, but I also don't mind getting some tougher games out of the way early.

West Coast away, Richmond and Collingwood are all in the first half of the year.
