Was actually wild that Carey kept a media career after everything he did and Baz got fired over and actual joke that could have been dumped by the producer but was let go through.
Plenty have said much worse and got away with it or had a much softer punishment. Makes me think they were looking for an excuse to get rid of him.

Also found it odd Montagna chose to tell a detailed story about his wife's induction on a Triple M prematch show.

I am willing to give Riewoldt a shot, I think Dunstall would push the Hawthorn narrative a bit too much. I can remember Healy calling him out on it once or twice.

I just want at least one show that tries to just talk footy.
I've always found Dunstall overcompensated his Hawthorn bias tbh. Talked them down a lot even when they were winning flags.

Lol and Riewoldt ain't gonna push Richmond? Come on lol I reckon dunstalls pretty impartial

Think the difference is Joey is just inoffensive to everyone. One of the lads but manages to get away with it a bit like JB

I think Nick lives in the states now? Just thinking about Lyon, I feel he is happy to scrutinise melbourne when if it starts to go wrong. Might be an interesting watch this year.
Nick is back and has moved to 7 for next season. He seems back and forth from the states these days as much as Roos

I thought it was very poor and wasn’t surprised they axed him.

I agree though about Montagna. God only knows how he headed down that path in the first place. It was never going to end well.

Pretty average joke but again plenty have said and done worse and not had their career nuked as a result. Think he lacked the talent as a media performer to really get a second shot that guys like Morris have gotten.

I don't listen to a whole lot of Triple M but the format seems to be that the hosts will come up with some funny stories ahead of time and the rest of the group are told to riff. So Montagna would have had to plan to tell his wife's birth story including extremely personal medical details. It's astounding to be honest.

I reckon Jack's pretty average in the media but could improve in time. But hosting one of the game's premier analysis shows is way beyond his talents at this stage.

He's ****ing terrible. Belongs on AFLW coverage and after the bounce.

I don't really know how focus groups work tbh, but surely there's a bit of bias towards filling them with nuffies who have too much time on their hands. I wouldn't trust anyone in a focus group to be representative of the general population
I was in one of the focus groups for the most recent Dees rebrand so this is accurate.

The venn diagram of footy focus groups and bigfooty posters is probably a small circle entirely inside a bigger circle. We're all in the same boat tbh

Sounds a bit like the way we fill a federal court jury
