I've said my bit on that incident. I just thought May was being a bit of a prick. But I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. If he can whip our backline into shape, I'll be happy about that. Are you sure there wasn't some back and forth going on? My impression was that Frost was the one chatting May up at quarter time. In any case, should be able to leave it on the park and not carry grudges / frustration around because a player is too precious.
Everyone talks up Lever as being a "defensive general" at 22 and whatever 5 or 6 games he's chalked up for us. Don't have an issue with May walking in the door and throwing his hat in the ring given he's a far more experienced player despite only playing 3 or 4 or however many games for us.
Money, hunger or fearThere is no such thing as a blanket way to get the best out of people
I would pick money.Money, hunger or fear

- Proven capacity to manage, develop and drive staff towards the creation and implementation of a world leading High Performance and Medical program.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading a High-Performance program, working with elite athletes and delivering high level preparation programs in high-performance sports.
Simmer down Dave I was just talking about the degree qualification
Not impossible though, speaking as someone who watched some episodes of Doogie Houser MDYou know early to mid 20s graduates with the following capabilities?

What's more important: the message, or the way it is delivered?
Rubbish. Being a boss and/or a leader isn't about being everyone's best friend
It's not a ranking of where the players should be drafted? How is that relevant?Of course its a flawed metric LMAO De Goey isn't even in the top 5. You run that draft again now he goes in the top 2 at worst.
Barney was a high-performance skirt-chaser though...But Doogie became Barney Stinson when he grew up, so clearly its not realistic to expect much from child doctors because they'll inevitably become skirt chasers rather than high performance medical program practitioners.
The message.
But, if you deliver it in a manner which doesn’t achieve your results..
They got there in the end so I'd say May did get a result. Bit of frustration on the part of both players, but I reckon the next time will be more convivial.
How the fu** do the eagles find another exciting young indigenous kid? Do we have some stupid rule where we don't draft indigenous kids from other states Incase they get home sick?

For some reason I thought he missed 2007. Was 2009 as it turns out, when they had Varcoe.Matthew Stokes would be crying into his medal collection at this comment...

I was going to go with 'he wasn't really young'I thought you were going to tell me he wasn't exciting, meaning he'd be crying even harder into his medal collection.

May and GarlettDo we have any indigenous players in our list other than Jetta at the moment?
Actually JKH and Toby Bedford!
I love aboriginal players - higher risk but bloody high reward. They can be amazing and are usually outside speed and foot skills which we desperately need.
