Hey can anyone read this article, or advise what happened with the lights on Sunday - I was sitting there in perfect weather wondering why on earth the lights were on?!..

It was a 30-degree day and the sun was shining, so why were the MCG lights on?

Eyebrows were raised at the MCG on Sunday when the giant light towers were switched on before half-time on a sunny 30-degree day. But why was the call made, and by whom?

Short version is the broadcasters were having issues with the light being inconsistent/shadows etc so they asked the AFL who asked the MCC to turn them on.
