We got to see about 45 straight minutes of perfect football to win a flag. We have been completely spoiled now. I kind of feel like I need to go back and rewatch some of the wins we had under Roos that I remember being incredible just to ground myself again. I have such fond memories of our wins in 2014 like the comeback vs Essendon, the Hafey match and Adelaide at AO. They would be probably be absolutely terrible to watch in retrospect.

The 2014 match against the Bombers is one of the all-time dreadful games, except for one passage of play for just a few minutes where we moved the ball forward to ultimately land with Salem. Everything else about the game was about as unwatchable as it gets. Adelaide win at AO was fun I reckon - though I need to watch again. Olivers incredible goal was a highlight for me. But yeah, I was more satisfied with little moments back then, otherwise I would have gone mad

If you're talking about the check side from the boundary that was in 2017. Oliver wasn't around the club in 2014

Yeah the Adelaide game I'm talking about is the one where Tyson threw the ball on his shin to kick the winner. Luckily it didn't hit his foot or it would have gone out on the full

Yeah I was talking about the 2017 game. I don’t actually recall us beating Adelaide in 2014, which is all the more reason to find it and watch it. I had a feeling that we narrowly lost the 2014 game? I have a kind of recollection of Vince on Danger with Danger flopping about for the free big time. I also have a weird feeling that was the one where Bernie got the clearance and kicked it for miles to the wrong end. I love it when people do that

Wasn't the 2014 one where we kicked like 6 goals infront early. Dawes was good and JKH did the shake and bake goal?

Oh F knows. I seem to have one long game against Adelaide running in my head covering about 10 years now

That was 2015. Adelaide won by about four goals. We narrowly lost to Port I think in 2014 by about 4 points with Rohan Bail nearly won us the game with a goal from the Eddie Betts pocket.
 
One thing I have remembered about the 2014 game, it was interesting hearing the discussion between Bomber Thompson (before he totally lost it) and Paul Roos on AFL 360. The coaches episode on Mondays with Thompson and Roos was the one and only watchable part of 360 in all its time on Foxtel

Bloody hell. See I told you I just have one long Adelaide game lasting 10 years in my head. Just now I have somehow morphed Jordan Lewis kicking 2 goals from outside the 50 and Jayden Hunt carried out unconscious into this reel

Don’t you start. I’m not dealing with this well. Now I’ve remembered that pregame we had a board meet up and Theseventhhamster showed up mixing beer with super strong painkillers after hitting his finger with a mallet or something and got puzzled because he thought I was a gay man. Adelaide was somewhere in the picture but I have no idea where they fit in now
