Did he actually have a blub that his just as annoying little mate, razor , didn’t get a prelim and a shot at The G.F ? You couldn’t make that up.

Hutchy on Sen today.
Was talking about Whateley's 50th.
Was asked if Robbo was there and after some silence said "No".
Wonder if he was invited or just refused to go.
Yeah, but this is a 50th birthday, not a bbq. They had a good on air relationship but didn't socialise much if at all.
very interestingInteresting that Chris Scott was at Whateley's 50th..
In the immortal words of philosopher Lucas Beveridge
"Your conflict of interest here is considerable"
Maybe. My guess is that Robbo wanted to avoid all the Fox people who he reckons shafted him

Think he said in an interview the following day that he'd received lots of nice messages.. but hadn't heard from Gerard. Speaks volumes, that and the miniscule mention he got on 360 that evening (the only time Whateley hasn't given a grand oration!)I thought it was clear as day the way Robbo departed 360 that it was Gerard who sniped him
Got told by a few people that he didn't pull the trigger but didn't exact go into bat for Robbo either .I thought it was clear as day the way Robbo departed 360 that it was Gerard who sniped him
That's my take.Got told by a few people that he didn't pull the trigger but didn't exact go into bat for Robbo either .
The rare times I switched on you could tell he was annoyed at Robbo' lower level of professionalism
You'd think he may have realized after 15 seasons, that's what made the show! (a combination of both to be fair)Got told by a few people that he didn't pull the trigger but didn't exact go into bat for Robbo either .

Maybe Gerard didn't want the bar tab to bankrupt himYeah, but this is a 50th birthday, not a bbq.
If they were on good terms, reckon he'd be there.
Agree with this. Having two stiffs present the show would make it unwatchable, just like having two Robbo types present it would. Was a combo that worked, whether you liked the personalities involved, or not. Without knowing all the facts, certainly feels like he was shafted, in part, by Gerard. You'd think he may have realized after 15 seasons, that's what made the show! (a combination of both to be fair)
I think I'll really struggle to tune in nightly next year.
*I know I did when Robbo was off ill a few years back.
Robbo would have pre loaded & packed a hip-flask, but agree..it's still a risk.Maybe Gerard didn't want the bar tab to bankrupt him
