You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.
If she's not what you want, why settle for it?
Correct you can't make her do it

On another note gyms generally are not going to make you lose weight unless you do it with intensity, running is better or cardio type classes combined of course with a healthy diet and little to no booze.

Weight training is the best way to lose weight and improve physique. It takes a while but you gotta try and get the weights=bulky mentality out of most girls.

To the OP - What you need to do is instill a healthy level of dread in her. Every now and then let her catch you looking at slimmer girls, or making a passing - but benign - comment about a slimmer girl's figure or how "fit" that girl is.

Then the next time you're eating an unhealthy snack, say something like "I'm really lucky i don't put on weight easily.."

You get the picture.

Now all the women reading this while simultaneously watching The View are going to say I'm an arseh*le - and that is simply because they have never dated women. Never listen to what they say, just listen to what works.

The key is you have to do it subtly and infrequently - do NOT make it look like you are intentionally trying to hurt her. One comment a fortnight will do - maybe one a week if you want to really sail close to the breeze. Do not go at this like a bull at a gate because it will backfire on you and the next thing you know you'll come home to find her knocking off a carton of ice cream watching Crazy Stupid Love.

Good thread, would read again.

My Mum is quite overweight and I did worry when I was finished school and started to gain weight. First year or two at Uni and I'd put on the 'Freshman 15' :( having a tall skinny boyfriend who could eat whatever he wanted didn't help!

I didn't lose the weight until the following year when I took up rowing at Uni. Went from going to the gym 3-4 times a week to do bullshit cardio to doing 10 sessions a week of weights, HIIT circuit training and on water training. Loved every second, lost 12 kilos without even noticing. It wasn't until I realised I could see my abs that I even noticed what my body looked like.

The point is, she has to a) do it for herself, and b) find exercise she really enjoys. Diet is 80% of the work, I'd recommend going Paleo/Primal, but it's a massive change and she won't stick with it unless she believes in it (much like the exercise).

It's funny because it is something Charlie Harper would say

I think my sister's husband is actually starting to make a stand with the junk that she eats. From just the weekend that I visited them.

"Roslyn.. there's is... a lot... of biscuits.. and cakes in our kitchen.."

She has 5 kids to run after and does actually go for hour long walks as exercise every night but eating stuff like that every day often as snacks will just make you fat, very unhealthy.

They aren't big booty bitches, they're fat ass slobs. Looks like they're wearing those sumo-nappies

You could sell bill board advertising space on that.

Straight out, being that fat, is disgusting. People should try and look after themselves much better than they do.
