Not mad at Dunks winning another flag. Played well today. He seems happy in his life and hasn’t really said anything bad about our club. Nice to see him and Treloar are still great mates, remember Dunks in the crowd for Adams milestone game.

Dunkley will always be a Premiership Bulldog. Thought he showed some class and courage attending our BnF - will be interesting to see if Bailey attends this week for comparison.

Baz declined our invite to attend.

Speaks volumes about his character. Volumes. Particularly when plenty of his favourite things in the world would be there - cameras.

Would put money on him taking the moment to post something provocative on Instagram. He’s done it on the siren of our r24 win and during the Brownlow count.

Macrae is an awkward one - a deal is likely to get done but it’s not a certainty he’s gone.

Skipping the BnF then having to stay on would be less than ideal.

The pending departures of Macrae and Smith are polar opposites, especially to me.

Macrae goes as a Bullgod, someone who never left anything out on the field, someone who gave 100%. Get dropped? Work on what you’re told to and get back to it. A professional and a star.

Smith leaves as a pea-heart who can only be remembered on-field for a few weeks in September 2021, aside from that is mullet flowing, in space and kicking it straight to an opponent. Someone with all the tools to be a 2-way player, but barely has a defensive bone in his body. Someone who puts himself above all others and never for the good of the team.

Here he is closest to the camera. Didn't make it through the heats, but better than Prestia at least.

That is hilarious, just shows what a silly concept the sprint is, scrap it, reeks of amateurism.
So when a grand final winning captain wins the Norm Smith (last time being Hodge in 2014), they now end up with 3 medals around their neck? Lol.
The AFL make a lot of howlers but this one just may top them all. Was it that hard to name the premiership cup the Ron Barassi Cup?

Nothing more scripted that the mic'd up Auskick kid telling a player "you're my hero" before the inevitable news.com.au article "Incredible grand final podium moment". Every single year.
Especially when the kids don't know what team jumper they will wear or who they'll present to until the game is finished

something that stood out to me was how often brisbane's forwards dropped back to help in the midfield/d50.

did not see any of the swannies forwards do that at all

really showed the difference in mindset - brisbane were hungry and willing to put in the grunt work while the swannies just wanted to look good and get the flashy highlights and didn't want to do the hard yards required to win a flag

I preferred the umpires backwards race.

A couple of important things from the GF. You need to be good accross the field. We are close.

If an shitney supporters come to our board offer them salt and remind they have not been good enough since the end of Cola.

And a great full back is one who can play on modern forwards not the gorillas of years gone by. We have one ready to blossom.

That was a fizzer for the neutrals.

Great win by Brisbane who just dominated after half time.

The Swans could not get back into it. I thought there might have been a fight back from them after half time but the Lions didn't allow it.

The win their 4th flag breaking a 21 year drought.

But I thought because he felt he had outgrown the club, he would want to attend to show his appreciation to the club to helping him grow!

Something a little cringe about Dunkley asking for the cup to stand up on the fence for his moment in front of the photographers.
Most players do this. People are so keen to find stuff to bag Dunkley about.

I reckon he’d be feeling pretty good about the move now. Playing very well as an inside mid.
