The Victorian Government have declared the 2018 Toyota AFL Finals Series matches held in Victoria as major events under the Major Events Act 2009 (VIC).

The declaration will make it an offence to resell tickets or advertise tickets for resale for more than 10% above face value, to Toyota AFL Finals Series matches held in Victoria.

The government will have authorised ticketing officers that will monitor resale sites and enforce the legislation where possible.

Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of the ticket agent and the AFL, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via on-line auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.

Scalping warning: In addition, the resale of tickets in certain circumstances is governed by ticket sales legislation and may attract criminal penalties.

The AFL Grand Final is a Declared Event under the provisions of the Major Events Act (Vic) 2009, a breach of which may be an indictable offence and allows your ticket to be cancelled.

In all seriousness, what's the process for getting a ticket? Was too young to go last time we made it but would love to experience it.
Cash!

And lots of it.

But here there's no cash.
Robbo?
No cash.

AFAIK you can go in the membership ballot, buy a Pies legends membership which guarantees you a ticket and the North Melbourne breakfast ($1500) are ways to get a ticket.

There will be plenty of Richmond and Melbourne fans that will on sell their GF breakfast and corporate tickets now they’re out during the week.

I was an MCC so I went myself, but
I’ve managed to secure 3 seats to the 2010, then Replay & 2011 Grand Finals.

Just have to have the Cash ready and be willing to hold out till later in the week.

P.S. I’m looking for two this year. PM me if you’re on selling.

Bummer. Looks like I'm not going then. I couldn't afford a club membership this year so wasn't even in our ballot. Would be great to be there.
For the 2010 draw I purchased a corporate package from the club on the Monday morning, cost me $1200 for breakfast and a ticket. The ticket was in the AFL members.

Edit: I imagine all clubs would have some sort of packages available not just those competing.

Mate if I had a spare I would give it to you. Alas, I do not.
Good luck with the search.

Cheers mate. Means a lot!

I was lucky enough to get one in the ballot today! Was not expecting Priority 3 members to have seats left to be balloted let alone for me to actually get one. Still in disbelief to be honest.
