Because the AFL/TV rights have probably requested it

Except it’s not a great marketing ploy. It would turn off the less fanatical fans as nothing has happened every day for over a week, so they wait until the last day to follow it. Drip feeding trades would be more effective as there would be something to talk about instead of just endless speculation.

Because Foxtel TV Guide has it going until 8:30pm.
They’ve also repeated AFL: Trade Day ad nauseam + it’s difficult, for me to know WTF is happening
