Pissed off he retired and we had to keep the utterly useless Luke McGuane, Wilt played well for the last month.

Anyone got any news on new signings around the traps?
I hear Morwell Have signed former Gippsland Power Ruckman Tom Crosby & a couple more good players very close to signing

What can anyone tell me about Daniel Stubbe, plays in the forward line for Mafra, does he go alright?

Jet! quick, seemed to have worked on strength due to hand injury this year. Hand got better as the year went on last year so marking is getting back to where it was pre-gash. Therefore, if hammies problems that plagued him last year hold up, he could be about to hit his straps which is scary!

Moe have the best facilitys in Latrobe Valley and the best ground, so whats going on ?
I hope its just rumor. Have they picked up any one other than the new coach?

I've heard quite a few of them are going to Newborough, and the main reason is they want to win a premiership, and they reckon there's a better chance of that happening with the Bulldogs than at TSR.

Also, I heard that Moe only had 7 senior players turn up to a recent training sesh, can anyone confirm this?

Nearly all are ex-Bulldogs returning to the Kennel anyway.

speaking of Moe - I hear they may again come up short on having a Thirds team???

Did Kennedy & Hancock play for Newborough ?

Sounds like Newborough have the premiership in the bag allready.

If that is true maybe Moe Football Club needs to have a good hard look at itself.

A change of philosophy ?? Some changes at the top ??

Instead of the philosophy "winning a premiership is the only way you are judged to be a succesfull club."
Maybe they should, be stressing the importance of playing to the best of their potential / ability, mateship, loyalty , enjoyment and playing with passion and pride at the heighest level in the Gippsland area for the local community. Winning premierships are what its all about but you are very small minded if you think that elusive premiership is what clubs are only remembered for.

Hey but what would I know.

Come on Samebi, don't have to highlight it in bold.

It is pretty well known in local circles that Digger has obvioulsy looked at moving north and by that post looks as though he has sounded out a football club near Mackay. No need to get so defensive in your reply, lol.

The only way he will leave Maffra is if he moves away from the area. But he is obviously not moving now according to your reply.

STUBBE is a gun, yeah capable of winning a match very quickly, just class.

Look at Maffra Model- Total committment to community and focus on football club

Traralgon might get them on a wet day in September again but if it is dry ,they will be too slow to catch Maffra.Last week was more than just having a bad day ,it was a humiliation of the team meant to be in the the top 2 in the comp .Traralgon did not fire a shot in the last quarter.Beaten by them in the GF last year after dominating most of the game ,the players would have to be starting to wonder whether or not they are actually capable of beating the eagles at all.

Stevie Hazelman will always chop sides up with his precision ball use, skill and guile. He is a smarter a player as anyone.
