The guy in charge apparently broke down into tears when told how well it was reviewing.

Passion like that for your product goes a long way to making something wonderful.

I'm about four hours in...on the 2nd level difficulty (one up from just basic 'Story' mode).

Big fan of the series, so was always going to grab this early, esp as I need a distraction until Avengers comes out.

In terms of game progression, I've just hit the Sea of the Nine, after speaking with the hot Witch who lives under the turtle-tree. It's a slow burn so far, but I'm really liking it. Lots of quiet moments where your surroundings do the talking which is a really pleasant change-up. I'm liking the relationship development between Kratos and his son. Definitely using his arrows in fights more consistently now.

Love that they haven't given away much with the story. All I know is that I have a son, who has some importance (hybrid greek-nordic god?); my wife has died and I'm heading to the top of a mountain to scatter her ashes. NPCs have been a bit meh. Writing could be a bit better at times - feels to 'modern' for lack of a better word, esp from the kid.

Has a very strong Shadow of Mordor/War to it with the menus screens/font.took me like 10-15 mins to figure out upgrades, runes, etc though.

Overall enjoying it.

Bloody intense fight when
yiu verse The Stranger. Struggled with the blocking at the right time and then he blitzes away

Overall the negatives I see are the upgrading menu is clunk and hard to navigate compared to other GOW's. Do you get anything other than the axe? And the boy is annoying as ****.

Wish the boy the will shoot the campaigners above a ledge that throw fireballs bloody annoying when fighting a horde of monsters.

I'm at the sea too and.
Just completed all the flames around the sea. The guy with the mace was a bitch as he kept healing. Had to go bersek at just pummel him

The setting all around the game so far is amazing.

Finished the main story. Just blown away by how good this is. Gonna go back and finish all the side stuff, first game in ages I actually want to platinum

Absolutely loving it but main gripe is with combat feeling a bit repetitive with your normal enemies. Upgrading skills will probably fix that.

And yeah, the skills/armour/weapons menu is a bit shit.

So far very much on par with Horizon.

Has anyone reached the drained lake yet? **** me i hopped on to the wrong platform unprepared.
