Exactly. Watson had no one else to take votes off of him, which is how he won it. When Stanton dissapeared after the first 3rd of the season there was simply no one else performing even at a remotely good level except him.

So what's your point?? You'd rather see one of your players take out individual awards and have the team miss finals?? Geelong made finals.. where did your rabble finish??

When Malceski wins his 4th AFLPA MVP, maybe you can redeem that last statement. You've got no idea... put the bottle down.

Watson won the Brownlow from outside the eight.

How many years since someone did that?

Anyone who thinks we are years away from contending is deluded. If we can maintain a standard injury list we will push for top 4 very soon, heck we almost did it this year until injuries hit.

As an Adelaide supporter you should know this.
Your kidding yourself surely. Even with less injuries than you had this year your still nowhere near top 4 material

This is BigFooty, so no one will provide an objective opinion, but we really aren't that far away from top four. Hell, even the coaches said our window was about to open. It amazes me that every single person brings up our soft tissue injuries, then pretends that doesn't mean anything and that we're miles away from contending. It only takes a good run of continuity (we really didn't get that this year) and we'll be pretty close. Goddard, Daniher and perhaps Moloney will makes us even better.

Watson got 26 of his votes by round 14. Stanton had 14 by then.

They were top 2. When nobody was there to steal votes off Jobe he didn't poll any.

Have a nice lie down mate, you're way out of your depth here. The username is a dead giveaway. PatrickBateman was a complete loser and a closet homosexual. You totally missed the point of the movie if you thought he was cool.

Resorting to off-topic insults now?? Sad.

All that Watson's medal proves is that he's a quality player but a RUBBISH skipper. Why? His team won't follow him and he doesn't inspire them. He goes out there every week and puts in, while his team mates stand around with their hands on their wangs. This is more important than a medal umpires vote for... Get used to using a Brownlow medal to prop up your club, it's all you've got and all you're gonna have for a long, long time.

Enjoy the rebuild.

The AFLPA also voted him the best skipper in the game.

The fail, the fail...... :D

So that's why the players voted him the best captain in the league this year?

The team's performance says otherwise. If he's such a great skipper, why can't he get his team up. Answer please?

Like I said, keep talking about these individual awards while your club continues to play like a bunch of pretenders.

Man, shut the heck up. You are an embarrassment to your club.

Sorry, are you ignoring the opinion of the entire playing group?

I'm sure you know SO much better.

Ahhhh ha ha ha ha ha ha :D:D:D

Well, generally speaking, they have to be physically capable of playing the game, which at the end of the season several players weren't.

Individual accolades seem like the appropriate means to compare players. Otherwise Mitch Morton >>>>>>>>>>>> Gary Ablett Snr, after all, Mitch Morton played is a premiership player...
