Dear God that is rich coming from a North supporterThe Gold Coast Moneypits.
Refer Florida Marlins and Toronto Maple Leafs.Marlins?
I'm pretty sure 'marlin' is both the singular and the plural.
That is, it would be the 'Gold Coast Marlin', unless they made a blatant spelling error...
Yeah and rename the Lions to the Brisbane Beefeaters
They could play for the Yeoman Cup
It's all about association .
Breakers , Crushers -taken - Dumpers , Swell or other surf term .

All those names are terrible!......Someone who has not got a clue about football, has come up with them, is my guess!!....Gold Coast Sharks for me.......For that matter whats wrong with the Gold Coasters!!....shortened to the Coasters.....ANYTHING is better than those 5...
How about : Gamblers (logo- deck of cards with prominence to the Ace of Spades)
no. you were suggesting leaving it a year and see what comes up and what I was saying is theres not going to be any different names in a year to what there is now. no difference in picking the name now to in a years time... theres not going to be any new words to choose from as I said.
Breakers sounds effeminate to me because Perth's WNBL team was named the Breakers until about five years ago
The Gold Coast Moneypits.
The Gold Coast Concessions.
