I don't like any of the options and I have given that feedback back to the GC17 team via their web poll. Clearly SHARKS is the marketing bonanza, its attractive to young ans old alike. if the GM of the Southport Sharks has said they wont stand in the way if GC17 want to use the name (and he has in one of the articiles in this thead) then it has to be the Sharks. As for Cronulla complaining or wanting to challenge it then perhaps the Bulldogs name should also be challanged.
Bottom line is the AFL have a chance to kick a big goal with team colours and a great mascot if they squib it (ironmen are you f&^%EN SERIOUS)then we may as well call them the bad news bears. GET IT RIGHT OR DONT DO IT AT ALL.
