Don’t mind the logo colour scheme but the kit isn’t that much of an improvement. I would have gone the dark wine red guernsey with red logo, red shorts. Piss off yellow entirely

Probably an unpopular opinion but I like it. Has a cool retro* feel, nice subtlety incorporating the look of the sun rising over water, a football, as well as the GCS.

Not a fan of the kit though. Especially (the prick in) that red one.

* Suits QLD which is about 20 years behind the rest of Oz.

I have writen a few posts in the past about how the Suns need to come up with a better playing livery and fans apparel as their current one was pretty poor.

Thankfully, they have bitten the bullet and made a change but its hardly a convincing one. The yellow & sky blue colours should have been used more on the playing jumper as that one is sad.

Hats off for trying a change, brickbats for the lame thing they came up with.

I think when someone said:
- we're thinking of a sun rising over the ocean
The response would have been "sounds great, fits the club".
Then,
- we're also thinking the logo will be a G, an S and a C all at the same time
"sounds abstract"
Then,
- also the logo will be lighter red on a red background
"You've lost me".

they ripped off the logo from epoch systems - just changed the E to G
That's the biggest rip off since McDowell's.

Absolute balls up.

The club has done nothing right since it's inception.

Should never have been named the 'suns' in the first place, Karmichael Hunt was a bad move, Gary Ablett a bad choice as a leader, Eade a bad coach to start off with. The only thing they've ever gotten right was trading Harbrow in.

Very late 70s, early 80s vibe to me. The new Adelaide logo also seems to have being inspired by the same style popular in that period. Graphic designers seem to going through a phase of looking for inspiration from that period it seems.
