Shit.

Why do the Suns and the Giants need to have their logo plastered across the jumper?

So their fans don't forgot the club they're supposed to be supporting?

On a more serious note, this is the kind of club emblem that I'd expect to see on an Under 10's footy team jumper, not on a professional club one that is supposed to be the in the top flight league of the country. Very underwhelming and something that a high school kid could have easily come up with.

logo will have a longer shelf life than the new kits, so semi-congrats but the search continues

Looks like a surrender on the red/yellow combo (which was a little ill-conceived in the first place). They are on the right track leaning into red, but they’re not there yet. This looks like rebel sport gymwear

SUNS are playing 4D chess
think about it
red on red is subtle
cant see it on SD or even HD broadcasts

forces broadcasters to do 4K

I really like the logo but I'm not sure how to feel about the two toned red home jumper. Would've thought they'd stick with yellow logo + side panels on red. the new away actually looks pretty good though, it makes the sun iconography far more evocative, makes me want to see how it'd look with red instead of blue.

The GOLD Coast Suns should be embracing the GOLD.

Plenty of awesome kits out in the world built on a yellow/gold base.

cos Carlton do it
Not a good comparison.
Carlton have had that old fashioned 19th Century logo on their jumpers for +120 years which has remained largely unchanged and when originally created it certainly wasn't part of some marketing 'experts' desire to make a bucket load of money.
Still, this is a small improvement on what came before.

I thought it looked like a car logo. They should have kept it simple with a traditional looking monogram logo on a blank colour like Carlton's uniform.
Every Club want's to look like Carlton but we can't all look like Carlton or it would diminish the greatness that is the Carlton jersey.

I think the new logo is OK-not great but passable. The bigger issue is the playing kits still lack any design of note and subsequently just feel like training kits/generic gym wear.

Opportunity missed imo.
Red with a yellow V probably wouldn't be too bad to make it look like a footy jumper. Could reverse the colours for clashes
