Gold Coast
Other Teams
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, TB Lightning,
With our entire injury list noted as 'Test' (apart from Risha and Day) we should be able to field a relatively strong squad against the only team who is as bipolar as us in 2017.

Must win game if we are to keep our goal of making finals on track! A chance to get a few on the trot after that

In: Swallow, Hanley, Ah Chee and Rosa
Out: Fiorini, Bowes, Scheer, Brooksby,

Give Thompson a week in the NEAFL. 1. So he can find form and play a game before coming back. 2. Melbourne don't have many if any KF, especially with the unfortunate news of Hogan's cancer diagnosis.

Agree with these changes. Need some mature bodies back in the mix and Swallow, Hanley and Rosa give just that as well as much more midfield depth. And AhChee was flying before his 'injury'. Fiorini, Bowes and Scheer will keep getting games throughout the season as we ease them through and get them up to speed, and Brooksby is probably lucky we needed KPD depth when we did, otherwise DMac would have possibly been getting a call-up off the rookie list for this one.

And awful to hear about Hogan. Sounds like the surgery went well thankfully. But it dos hit close to home, and surely makes all younger men out there think about going and getting checked regularly, as it can happen to anyone.

Weeks break before the heat of Darwin. If we can't run the game out better than Melb, then we have issues. We're a big chance

You folks do know that the game is in the Alice, right?
The ground with the tree.
Forecast for next Tuesday is max 31 and min 11. Will probably be something like that for game day.

Hi
This is my first post. Been a member since 2015, anyway enough about me.
In regards to this match well i can never be confident because we never know what we will get with our lads.
So hot and cold it's frustrating. When we are cold we are freezing too and usually it's away trips that produce the more insipid performances.
Winning the hard ball is a huge issue. Anyone know when Rischa is due back?

Welcome Mr Bods !!!We need all the memebers we can get here at Suns BigFooty!
Watched the game today
Not sure Melbourne have too many footy "weapons" but if they bring the intensity they did for the last 3 quarters they beat us.
Simple.
Our wins this year have been when teams haven't bashed us

G'day SandyToes
I've been Channel surfing all afternoon between the various NRL/AFL games, didn't watch enough of anything to form an opinion.
But I totally agree that when teams decide to be physical with us we don't cope and it's not a good look because this is the Gold Coast and we want people who like the NRL to want to get onboard.
During our first 3 or 4 years the Leaguie types I know had a bit of affection for Us because they always had a crack. We need to get that back.
Maybe we need to find a place for the likes of Lonergan/Hallahan as well as Rischa who we really need out there.

Couldn't agree more

No excuses this week... Most of the list to pick from, rested up after the bye, warmer conditions should suit and the Dees look at bit shaky. Not expecting to make finals but at least give us some hope for 2018.

Champion data says we have the easiest draw in the comp from here on , as you say no excuses , only player injured is Sammy , we need to get on a run the next 4 games crucial , Melb @ NT ,West Coast @ Metricon , Hawks @ MCG , Carlton @ Metricon , win 3 we are in with a shot.

So it seems Melbourne are still running around without a recognised ruckman? Going to need a big game from Wittsy in that case to dominate the hit-outs and put it on a plate for our mids. If we can break even in the middle against Melbourne's midfield that will go a long way to winning us the game. Have to stop the influence of Oliver, Viney, Jones, Lewis, etc. at stoppages and get it out to our pacy guys to do what they do best as Im not sure they enough guys who can keep up with Saad, Harbrow, Hall, and the gang when they are up and running (like most teams I guess).
