Confirmed by Rocket:
In: Swallow and Brodie
Out: Bowes (tonsillitis), Brooksby and possibly Scheer who's been sick all week.

Rocket seem very annoyed by Thompsons injury and he won't play this week and when he does play it will be through the NEAFL. Hanley to play NEAFL this week. Could be one more changes with a few boys under 'test'

Always happy to see Brooksby not in the 22
He's well below AFL standard

Don't need a 3rd tall defender this week since the Demons have a shorter forward line. Another runner would be ideal.

Shaw would be big chance as the 3rd in.
He and TheSchoen were emergencies in China. Neither are much chop in terms of winning the ball or doing much (at senior level anyway) but both can cover the ground.

Just checked, and the last NEAFL game they played in (against the Giants at Metricon before the Cats game), Shaw had 38 and TheSchoen had 14.

Would Shaw hold the GC record for most times dropped and brought back into the team. I swear if he has played 100 games he has been dropped 20 times over the course of his career. May just have nudged out Luke Russell by now. Matt Shaw is the definition of a fringe player.

Changes for mine, would be
Out: G. Ablett (shoudler), J. Bowes (illness), Scheer (illness), Brooksby (omitted)
In: Brodie (debut), Swallow, Shaw, Lonergan

Would love to hope Hanley plays but reckon he will have a run in the NEAFL. Thompson NEAFL next week. Ainsworth should join him as well as Ah Chee. Hanley in for West Coast, along with Gaz. With the other 3 up for selection for the Hawks at the G

Gee, thats some fire power we've got coming in! Too bad about Ablett's shoulder, but it looks like we should have enough midfield options to at least go with Melbourne's mids. Really need a good team performance after China and I have confidence in the team we have listed.

I an also interested to see how our defence will line up with their lack of height.

Abletts shoulder could be something to do with him having a 300th game coming up and at this stage it is not scheduled at home. A game off will mean that it is at home

*Edit

I should of clarified, but I meant his home, ie Victoria haha
Also just happens to be the 10 year reunion of the 2007 premiership in Geelong this weekend
