Take the emotion out of it.

I was at the game so maybe I missed a bit but also you get a good vantage point sometimes.

I don't know the stat, but we seemed to get trounced at loose ball gets from start to finish. Every contest the ball would spill loose and there would be essendon players surrounding it for a quick handball and clearance.

We got lucky that our defence is okay and that they also aren't very damaging going forward.

Our skills went back to the 4 first rounds.

Essendon applied very good pressure and we couldn't handle it. They were pretty good in this area.

Say all you like about the usual suspects, but Rachele was trash from what I witnessed. Good last week and went to water this week.

Soligo was probably our best with Dawson, but even he had some howlers early on in the game..

Sick of the low skill level. What the ****

Thought Nank was extremely costly for us tonight, multiple bad blunders that cost us goals. As you saw however he was finding the ball and trying, will learn from it and be better in time. I would persist and not make him the scape goat, there's others who should be out first.
Yeah he had a howler. Crucial dropped chest mark. I really like him though so he's got some credits

Our high half forward ‘shape keepers’ are basically wingers in terms of positioning

They're not at all

They push into the stoppages if anything

We have no shape around the contest which make Nicks' shape comments so laughable

Good:
  • Dawson: from about halfway through the second quarter, fumbled everything in the first quarter and a half
  • Soligo: gun
  • Hinge: lots of rebound. One braid fade at F50 in the last where he thought he was the only player on the field
  • Max, Keane, Woz and even Borlase. Saved us from a 10 goal loss
  • Tex: feel so sorry for him

Bad:
  • Fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble, fumble
  • Nank: I love him but some big errors from the kid. That dropped chest mark in particular
  • Fumbling

Ugly:
  • Ned: surprise, surprise
  • Smith: this guy taking kick outs is murder for us. Constantly bombs to ROB in an outnumber and the ball comes straight back in
  • ROB
  • Rash: squibbed like I haven’t seen for so long. Depressing to realise
  • Sholl: my 10 year old undersized daughter would out muscle him
  • Laird: blind bombs
  • Fog: far out

Listening to the press conference - Nicks is deluded. We played well last week and needed to keep that momentum up?

We fell over the line last week because Carlton shot themselves in the foot.

Lost cause.
Narrator: they did not play well last week.

Nicks Presser:
"we will look into why we were off in the first half"
"we'll look back over the week to see what we did wrong"
"can we talk about the last 5 minutes, with a bit of luck we fall across the line"
"we want to be careful about picking out individuals, its a team thing we got wrong tonight"

The mans a walking imbecile.

Just the insane selfishness of Smith to put his hand up to play tonight, and the absolutely pissweak coaching panel that let him - forget about the gameplan being a disaster, that in itself speaks to massive cultural problems in the AFC, and the results reinforce that.
Absolutely this, he could barely move in that first quarter. Just insane we haven't learned about playing injured guys after all these years.

Yeah he had a howler. Crucial dropped chest mark. I really like him though so he's got some credits
Also spoiling right back into the centre of Essendons attacking 50 when we have the slowest guy ever in Borlase as the last guy. Cost us another goal. Rookie mistakes but that's OK, he'll learn from that. Sucks given how close the night was and that we could have stolen a win but we didn't deserve anyway.
