He might need a bit of media training the old Donk but I'm sure those locals would be getting looked after at a place like Tatura. Must have been a good bid to out do Deer Park though who are the metro cash kings at the moment, this should see Tat play finals again. Whats the word on Seymour this Season likely to be any better?

Granted, Donka might need some media training... but at least it's more honest and open than the 'we want to play with mates' crap that every other club spits out

Wat abt tats big signing of former stawell gift runner in Brenton ( the shepp ) sheppard will b a very handy addition along with these other recruits..
 
Broadbent and Crawford have chased sign on fees for the last five years, everyone knows they like to fill their own pockets up before Round 1 each year and are happy to sign with which ever club is happy to do so. From what I'm hearing I believe Wall and McGough are reconsidering were they play in 2014 as a result of the signings as some unpleasant words were stated by one of the recruits and the recruiting manager regarding these two which may make for an uncomfortable environment. Stay tuned!.
 
What age would Broadbent be this season? From Tats perspective is Crawford worth the dollars they are paying him going on past performances?
What sort of sign on fee would they have been chasing?
Given the comings and goings at Tat, including the coach, do posters think they will be better than last year?

I had to reply to this absolute rubbish dont no where this sign on thing has started but neither myself or crawford got a sign on. We as you would no played at Tatura in 2012 so why then would we get another sign on to come back and play??? We have both gone back up there cause we loved it up there great club,people,good footy,great grounds and the only reason we left was due to work and family commitments back in melbourne last year. Im not going to post or reply after this i was just reading few earlier posts and it pissed me off all the bullshit and made up sign ons and how much we are getting per game. Everyone is still going to have there own opinion and whatever dont care just looking forward to the start of the season and hopefully another successful year with the club. Im sure there is other topics and things going on around the league you can all talk about. The in house fighting is absolute joke of a comment as well!!!!!!!
 
One would have to ask what's really happening at Tat, from the time that a so called club person knocked on the then coaches door last year when they were 11-1 and advised him of his best interest if he was looking to coach the club long term to Jimmy Hollow being told he would have to take a 50 percent pay cut at the end of the season! Strange moves

After hearing of the pay cut situation and losing Hollow you would then wonder how the club could make Crawford and Broadbent, in the coaches own words "offers they couldn't refuse". Something just doesn't add up about certain peoples motives! Perhaps desperate times for Thomas and co calls for desperate measures

Tappy you may put your version out there as you will but I think it was only a matter of weeks ago you posted the absolute truth on the WRFL board about being committed to Deer Park for the future etc etc etc. Something happened in that time to change your mind.....GA thrilled????

Wasnt committed to the future just said for this season. Yeah things did change again not that i need to explain to anyone and in reference to GA he was fine about it thats what good,genuine people do talk stuff over and respect peoples decisions. Im sure no club likes losing players but clubs and people move on as should everyone on this thread!! As i said before im sure there is other stuff going on then worrying bout me,crawf and the footy club its getting boring lets be honest.

For the record that post was made by someone i knew back then they had my log in details not by me. Why would i bother replying to these posts if it wasnt? I dont hide behind a computer like the rest of bigfooty dont see the point in it its only so people can bag other blokes and and make up bullshit anyway!!!! Move on seriously its really not that interesting your lives must be pretty boring i only reply or post when i feel i have to and thats it.

Some facts: Jimmy Hollow was not asked to take a 50% pay cut
No in house fighting
Shagga & Crawf did not receive sign on fee's ( $7500 & $5000 ? - wheres my cut ?? )
Wall & McGough so upset with the club they have committed beyond 2014 - as has Broadbent & Crawford
No desperate measures taken to secure these two good footballers, blokes & club men
Regardless of the FACTS I have mentioned above, I hope the dribble on here continues from the nameless people who apparently have their fingers on the pulse, as it provides me with some laughs. Please don't let the truth get in the way of a good rumor boys - that would be boring!

Rohan what was there "offers they couldn't refuse" as Van da donk said in the paper??? great that they have committed beyond this year, Broadbent will be nearly 35 by than, I would commit long term as well at that age if I could :)

If asked direct questions and given exact answers quite a few of these questions would be yes.
1 example " was Hollow asked to take a pay cut?" Might not be 50% so the above answer was given. could be 1-49% based on that answer.
No in house fighting -its cricket season hasnt been any since September when the coach resigned.
Wall and McGough will commit beyond 2014 as they are playing for Richmond VFL and will only play 4-6 games for the year if lucky. Will name Tatura as home club. Ben Waite also signed at Richmond but hasnt nominated Tatura as his home club?

Just one last point. They may be great footballers and good blokes but hard to see how they are good clubmen. If you said Kirby or Wellington great clubmen. You need some tenure at 1 location for a period of years before you can claim this. My opinion on this but 12 months doesnt cut it in this department.
