Dirty spoke to Souter on Tuesday by phone and was told directly from him he is going to Mooroopna.... Fact!!!!!!!
Have spoken to Jordan personally - $350 a game fact!!!!!!

"He is going to Mooroopna", haha, yes he probably meant he was on his way to Mooroopna, believe he trained there. As I said still hasn't signed or committed to Mooroopna, but probably will. You are speaking from what Kyabram people have been told, so you actually don't know whether he has signed/committed with Mooroopna or not, so as I mentioned the Shepp News/Mooroopna have jumped the gun on printing that he is one of their recruits.

$350 a game fact, I think we have agreed with you on that, but you said that was what he put his hand out for, No Mooroopna offered that, and as I said, IF he signs he will play for a lot less than that because he doesn't want to play for that amount of money.
So don't get on here and make out he has chosen Mooroopna over Ky because Mooroopna offered him huge amounts of money because that is just not the case.

maybe Jaggo's upset because no-one's talking about him and offering him any money next year???!!!

What is it you dont understand. Souter stated to Dave on tuesday HE WILL BE PLAYING AT MOOROOPNA in 2010. Unless he was telling him lies I am assuming that he would be truthfull. I never said he put his hand out for 350, he was offered and accepted.
I know your from Tonny Hank ... but does that explain why you are so slow on the uptake?

Just out of curiosity, how many blokes that will be playing for Mooroopna seniors this year will actually be a local product and by local product I mean somebody who has come through there junior system.
I know its important to recruit players in order to be successful but surely they are going well and truely over the top. I will will take a stab and say 70% of their senior side will be non local products. Is this takeing the chase for a premiership too far, I can't think of a recent team that had this many non locals, maybe Euroa a few years back and we all know how they faired when it mattered.

Jaggo posted this yesterday 11.21am
I would have thought he would have first been concerned about getting a kick in one of the strongest country footy leagues than putting his hand out for cash.[/QUOTE]

I'll leave it for others to decide who is slow on the uptake and who can't remember what they said only 24hrs ago!!

Hank, I appreciate your reminder, but I can remember perfectly well what i said. I would assume that unless he sticks his tongue out and they feed him the cash it would be his hand. Sorry if I confuse you so much...... deepest apologies.

its about time you pulled up a bit on the young man jaggo! jordan doesn't/ didnt go around telling any tom, dick or harry how much each club had offered him and he would be angry that some1, like you gets on here and talks about it like its yours or every1 elses business! williams spoke to jordan on monday night and jordan told him that he we be going there to train on wednesday night at mooroopna and if he enjoyed it he would more then likley sign there at some stage! im not sure if you speak to dave, but he was very greatfull that jordan gave him the courtesy of a call to let him know he wasnt going to be there!

Some good points there and it is all just hypothetical at the moment-nothing is set in stone so everyone probably needs to relax and let the guy make a decision that is best for him. The Darren Harris to Tat rumour looks unlikely and if Russell Robertson does'nt get re-drafted it is being suggested that he will be in the media

What was funnier was you and Souter hiding in the change rooms at training every night because you knew retribution would be swift, nasty and that you were out of your league:D:D

Don't like to ruin your story but Euroa were a fair way short of 70% non locals playing in the year they lost the GF. Had plenty of recruits, sure, similar to Mansfield/Seymour etc. in those years.

A good blend of locals with recruits to top up is very important, you have to get the mix right. I'm sure that this is what you're getting at anyway and I can't disagree with that.

This is an ongoing theme in BF and it gets a bit boring and repetitive, people are happy to be involved in a high quality league but seem to accept that means clubs must recruit to survive.

Fair to say that all clubs would have some non-locals to replace the young talent that leave country areas for work and uni

think the Rochy sides of the late 90's early 2000's will be the last to have 15+ locals in the side and make GF's. Those times may have past.

Ky had 4 or 5 players ( can't remember exactly ) last year that had not come through the thirds Hank.
Tusken I have no drama and actually enjoy when clubs recruit well and increase the standard of the league. But if your going to sit there and say that having 5 or so players playing in your seniors that have come from your juniors is healthy than I surely hope you are wrong. There is a difference between recruiting to complement your locals than recruiting to take over from your locals.

Yes did think they would have been up there this year.

Michael Barlow rookied by Fremantle and Relton Roberts rookied by Richmond.:thumbsu:

A good effort! Would think that there would be some other players in the GV at the moment that would have the ability to be rookied. A bit suprised Brad Mangan from Ky missed the boat. Where it leaves Robertson and Pettifer will be interesting

For some reason I just can't see Roberston playing in the bush, I recon we will see him in the media next year. It would take a massive offer to drag him away from the city I think. My guess is Pettifer will be at Ky, but you never know.
Mangan is apparrantly playing VFL and will probably nominate Ky as his home team which would be handy for them if they make it. He was pretty awesome in this years finals.

Have to agree about Robertson-already has a profile in the media. petifer has been strongly linked to Yarrawonga but I don't know what the connection is there. A bit disappointing for Brad Mangan as he had a number of clubs hover 12 months ago. I assume he will be with Geelong after playing a few games there this yr.

The fact that Robbo is talking to country clubs indicates that he is keen enough on having a kick somewhere. I reckon he will end up at Swans
