It’s pretty clear they don’t get along.
This is a good move for Wright. He gets to learn from the experience of Cook before taking over.
As long as he keeps his hands off Wade I’ll be happy.

Not sure Wrighty has the broad skills, temperament, or political savvy ( he’s to much of a straight shooter) , to be a CEO. Sometimes it’s better to stay in your own lane.
But as an apprentice to Cook for a year he’ll definitely find out if the role truly suits him.

According to 7 news just wants to be a CEO. Was sounded out by AFL and Tassie but settled on Carlton.

Said no hard feelings with Collingwood, wishes them well but not against the Blues.

He’s just using Carlton as a stepping stone to the CEO of BHP.
Wright has grand plans.

It would’ve been good if Collingwood had known that before putting his job on hold for the season :rage:
(But I know he apparently tried to resign and was instead told to take a holiday…)
With hindsight, it clearly would’ve been better if his resignation had been accepted.
