When you think about the politics of the GF beforehand, AFL HQ would have to deal with fans thinking Swans dynasty if they where allowed to win and Geelong would be finished.

Letting Geelong win, they can say Swans are still coming while giving life to the Geelong seniors.

They are already talking about Selwood maybe retiring, going out a winner etc... its a farce
