Forgot the record score against the Saints!!!

Shane Loveless day out against the Swans was great too - he kept pulling in one handed marks in the goal square. He's still out there kicking tons in the country - Lysterfield is it?

C1,

I wasn't at the 1980 game vs Fitzroy, but can remember listening to it on 3DB. Weren' t they the 'great' old days, when 95 per cent of Footscray games were broadcast on racing radio.

"It spills to Dunston, who scraps a kick downfield, gathered by Templeton who swings around, kicks to an open goalsquare, it bounces, bounces, bounces through for a....correct weight Adelaide."

One of my real faves was at the WO in 1985 vs Melbourne. Close games? Who needs 'em. The Doggies had received so many batterings in the late 70s and early 80s, it was great to get one back. 120 points exactly as I recall. Beaza kicked twelve. And Melbourne had three Brownlow medalists playing that day - Moore, Wilson and...here's the beautiful part - Templeton.

Other favourite moments:
- 1990 vs Collingwood (Kolyniuk's goal) - the last side to beat the eventual premiers that year.
- 1978 vs Carlton at the WO - the great Geoff Southby tried to play on from a kick in, ran straight into Templeton, who waltzed around him into an open goal.
- circa 1993, at Princes Park, when Fitzroy were defeated by Keenan Reynolds.
- 1984, when we beat eventual premiers Essendon at Windy Hill, largely thanks to Emmett Dunne, who totally blanketed Paul Salmon.

Aaahh, Footscray. Love hurts.
