I know BF reckons he's a complete dud (although now he's not at Freo anymore he's liable to be turned into some sort of demi-god soon) but Palmer has been very impressive IMO, surprise surprise he's actually playing well in the midfield and hitting targets, take note Harves

They are a lot more physical than the GC.
I wonder if that comes from having experienced guys Choco and Sheedy as coaches and not a Rookie coach in Guy McKenna that GC have.
Their kids dont look out of place.

Shiel, Mohr, Smith, Coniglio have stood out for me with Palmer, Ward, Cornes and McDonald have all been good hard bodies. Probably already been mentioned, but what's the deal with the surface?
Putting up more of a fight than i expected and actually on top for parts in that quarter. With a forward target would have had some more goals. Probably will fall away from here but a lot to like about the giants.
Add Patton, Cloke and Scully to this team, with a few years development and wow.

GWS have impressed me so far. Look a lot harder than GC did last year.

A defence oriented team is no bad thing for a new side.
Choco would be struggling to run up those steps.
Watching Chocko marshalling the troops at quarter time. Agree with an earlier post, Sheedy might be the eye candy but Williams seems to have a heck of an influence.

Have heard from a rabid NRL fan of mine (who happens to be at the game) that it is a problem affecting all codes. There has been a crazy amount of rain over the last month and there is some sort of root rot that they can't get rid of.

Was expecting them to be blasted away from the start but they have shown poise and composure. Will be a good match.
GWS are looking better than us already haha.
