Only Fools and Horses.

I used to get a good laugh at that.

Open All Hours was ok too.

Simpsons are most definitely a sitcom. No doubt about it, no further discussion. If they are then Family Guy is. Southpark probably isn't according to the experts because it is more of a series of political or topical statements rather than a focus on characters and character development. I couldn't be arsed explaining that to those who would have complained at the start. Southpark will not win, Simpsons could go close but that is fine, it IS a sitcom.

I'm really digging this thread. Wish I had found it in time for nominations as I reckon Spaced and Peep Show are easily two of the best sitcoms to come out of the UK in the last 15 years, even if they are barely known in Australia (a real crime)

I am a total Simpsons nerd and when people talk about best sitcoms (like in the paper or on the radio) I am minorly pissed off that they never mention the Simpsons and pigeon hole it as just an animation show. IMO it should be up there as one of the best sitcoms, certainly my favorite.
