I have decided to come up with the gretest team of the last 15 years, just basically since i can remember watching

B: Archer Silvagni Clement
HB:McLeod Jackovich Harvey
C: Hawkins Voss(v.c) Buckley
HF: Hird Carey(c) Jarman
F: Ablett Lockett Dunstall
R:Goodes Judd Williams
INT:Kernahan West Cousins McKernan

Now People may disagree with some of my selections but i will be happy to explain them for instance i bet the 1st one people will jump all over is the selection of corey McKernan but how quickly people forget his 1993-1997 form were arguably he was the best player in the game along with the king, he should have a brownlow medal next to his name as well as the rising star award to go with his 2 premierships

Goodes as your ruckman surely their is a better option in the last 15 years apart from that not too bad a side perhaps a little too big in the forward line especially Carey, Ablett, Dunstall and Lockett.

yer i know i umm'd and ahhh'd about goodes but he is a dual brownlow medalist. who would you suggest? and on the foward line i dont think anyone can argue that any of them dont deserve there spot

Thats my go even though the forward line looks big and slow would like to see someone try to stop it....

Good side. I'd replace the three underlined with King Judd, Aker and Paul Kelly.

Names that come to mind include Wynd, Salmon, Stynes even McKernan. AS for the forward line not saying they don't deserve their spots just if the team was to play aq game I have doubts on how the forwards would work together. 3 FF all playing near the square, as well as Carey sitting at CHF.

Holy Jesus!!!! you take on some big tasks!

Bias I know....:D but I'll try to explain but you will never except and "believe" one of my selections!

B: Archer Dunkley ( for Silvagni) Darcy ( for Clement)
HB:McLeod Jackovich Harvey
C: Ablett (replaces Hawkins) Voss(v.c) Buckley
HF: Hird Carey(c) Jarman
F: Kelly ( moved Ablett) Lockett Dunstall
R:Everitt Judd Williams
INT:Kernahan Goodes (for West) Cousins Big Cox ( for McKernan)

I hope Darcy proves this year what a valuable versitile player he is has to be there.. out hawkins ( not in last 15 and not good enough) out West.. no bias against Dogs but he is used to being close but just not there

Your forward line despite the fact you could not omit any of your nominated is too top heavy on FF line and Kelly deserves his spot!
Ablett closely ......followed by K Greig who you are too young to remember.... is best wingman in history!
There hasn't been quality ruck over a long period out Goodes NOT a ruckman (won a Charlie there but he is just cause he's that goodes:D )
In Everitt best performed over time needs a change and a backup thus inclusion Big Cox ( I am huge rap for him!)... Darcy there is required CLement plays for Colliwobbles and pyschol;ogically would damage the side

When do we take on Alpha Cenauri!!!!!!!:thumbsu:

PS Dunkley couldn't kick pretty .....but was better FB than SoS!

Pretty good side. From a purely Carlton perspective, I'd say McKay is at least as good as Clement, I think better. Bradley, Ratten and Koutoufides could also get a spot. Others unlucky would include Mark Riccuito, Matthew Lloyd, Simon Black and Jason Akermanis. And if it is 1992-2006, then Doug Hawkins really shouldnt be there- his heyday was in the '80's.
But yeah, a pretty damn good side.

Cox has had one good year, not worthy of "the best 15 years" yet.

are you being serious?

lol so let me get this straight...

Dunkley.... is better... than the Full Back of the Century?

I guess that is the beauty of opinions.

Well, the only way I am wrong is if it was only because I saw more live games of Dunks than of SoS... not suggesting for a second that SoS was not superduper!

Opinion I knew would not be popular, prolly most Swans fans would disagree too!:p

Peace out dudes:)

biased, but would Nathan G Brown get a run in that side?

Not havin a go btw, just askin a serious question.

His 2005 form was very good. And before 2005, was pretty solid in all his seasons.

We have a winner!

With maybe the exception id put Kelly on a HBF over McKay, McKay was honest, Kelly was a superstar.

Also dont like Cousins in that forward pocket, maybe a Brad Johnson would be a better fit, or move Voss to the forward pocket, and put say Brent Harvey in at HFF

Fletcher Martyn Archer
McCleod Jacovich Worsfold
Ablett Voss Buckley
Hird Carey Cousins
Lynch Lockett Bell
McKernan Judd Harvey
Goodes West Wanganeen Jarman

Lockett and Dunstall just too similar in style, Lynch very skillfull and more agile. Can't see the point of having two CHF's in the team so had to drop Kernahan. Had to choose between Williams and Bell for the resting rover, just kept remember diesel's mouthing off. SOS is prolly a better footballer, but Martyn was the quintessential fullback. Appologies to bluebaggers

Lynch more skillful and agile than Dunstall?

Hahahahahahahahaha! You gotta be kidding!

Dunstall was very similar to Lockett apart from the fact that he was quicker, more explosive, better on the ground, put more defensive pressure on his opponents, laid more tackles, gave away less stupid frees and made his teammates around him better.

Nah... 1989 State Of Origin for me.
Plugger and Jase up forward. Unstoppable!

Crawford has been a champion for over a decade and should at least get a mention.
He dominated games when he was at his peak. He's also more versatile than a lot players already mentioned. He can play anywhere. Superfit, superfast, skilled, tough, a great all round athlete with a huge leap and cat-like movements. I've seen him coming back from injury, or with an actual foot injury and the coach has played him in the back pocket against Nathan Brown and Jeff Farmer when those guys were in white hot form. Crawf pantsed them. He's probably the best back pocket I've ever seen.

Of all the champions to have played ther game, it's funny how underrated Crawford's career has become, especially considering his high profile. For years, we were absolute shit and Crawford literally carried our side on his back.
