Both had their worst riding days in a long, long, LONG time.

Rawiller butcher job #1: He got Haradasun alot further back than Vasil wanted him and three wide the trip from a decent barrier.

Rawiller butcher job #2: He had Casual Pass in a nice position at the top of the straight, 6 horses off the inside easing to the outside to make a run. Somehow he ended up along the inside and the horse was flying. Wouldn't have won but it would have at least pipped Aqua d'Amore given a clear passage.

Childs butcher job #1: Victory Chant was fighting him like anything and instead of letting it run, he held it up...now fair enough, that was probably to instruction, but if the horse is fighting you and wants to run, why not let it? It'd obviously be happier under those circumstances.

Childs butcher job #1: He started digging into Marasco with the whip at the 600 metre mark even though he was travelling smoothly rather than easing it into the race. As a result, his run peaked at the 100m (he was going past Pompeii Ruler) and he was beaten a head.

Make no mistake about my disgust, I was only on one of them (Marasco)...but from the analysis I've done afterwards, they both rode absolute shockers today.

tell me about it!!! i was on marasco and victory chant

I only had a first four in Casual Pass' race but I was hoping he would win. Amazing he was 3 wide heading into the turn yet finished the race on the rails in the top 4.

Think Childs is not far off being relegated to the second stringers like Gauci has and King is on the way

I HATE Childs and for some reason of late I've been falling into him
He won't take a gap that 99% of jockeys will, he can't punch out a horse like 99% of jockeys can and will sit 3 wide because he hates to force himself in almost like he's scared of falling.

IMO it's a huge mistake putting him on Marasco, he'll need a lot of luck in these big races and Childs won't go looking for it, he'll look for a easy path into the race and that'll mean 3 wide and the widest down the staright.

I'll never forget he was ********ting himself one day when he rode Thundernlightening who was the best horse to take to the races, he even asked for teh pony to take him around to the gates.

Apparantly VC choked down pretty bad and has now been sent back to the paddocks for a few months, personally i think the connections would have done better leaving Claire on board.

It probably choked down because Childs was shoving the bit down its throat.

Apparently Nash is headed to Sydney to ride for Gai for 3 months.
She's struggling with Munce in jail & Bowman heading to the UK

she could do alot worse than picking Nash in my opinion.

How long will hugh be in HK for?

Not sure,I think it's one of those "try it & see" stints.
He's heading off after the Sydney Carnival.

It seems a few on here will be happy to see Nash go.
