Wanna mention Naicos in this play, from kick in Naicos runs up to offer Crisp an outside runner which gives him space to make his midfield run and hball to Cameron who weights the kick perfectly to Carmichael i50, goal

This whole squad is in sync that's for sure, and efforts like Naicos made that play possible, one of many examples. May not be the best in it on paper but sure as hell are in it.

Yesterday proved we need Grundy back ASAP

Sunday proved that fans like you were just waiting for 1 bad game from the Cameron/Cox duo so you could pump up Grundy's tyres.

It's clear there was a handful of Grundy supporters that just stubbornly refused to admit we were doing just fine without him, as well as supporters that had made their mind up about Cox long ago.

I came to ask, outside of the injury what's all this talk of Grundy potentially not being selected due to the "emergence" of Cameron? Having watched him against Draper he looked pretty average. Can't imagine a universe where swapping him for a fit Grundy won't improve your team, Grundy at his best is an absolute gun, whilst Cameron is pretty vanilla.

Cameron had a poor performance on Sunday, but he's had some very good performances this year, certainly better than Grundy's first 6 games of the year.

It's clear going forward that the ruck duties at Collingwood need to be shared more evenly. Grundy hasn't been at his best since round 1 2020.

Howe’s last two possessions of Sunday’s game were total shockers. But that wasn’t his whole game.

Our backline was clearly undersized against Essendon’s tall forward line in the dry. And Howe was a part of that, but that’s not a form thing.

Don't mind it and if we were playing north or eagles you'd give it a go. Just seems a hell of a structure risk (Has he ever played there) and there is too much at stake. Port should be a win but no guarantee than will need 2 of 3 to top 4 it

We tried that against Brisbane and it didn't work. Cox and Cameron had 10 disposals between them, and Cameron spent just over 50% of the game on the ground....

That doesn't mean they were the reason we lost. A dry day game would also provide far better conditions to play the three big men.

Cox signed a one-year deal last off-season with a games clause to activate a second year of the contract, which he has now reached, locking him in at the Magpies in 2023.

Nowhere near mobile enough. Rather we persist with Dean, Kelly, and McMahon as tall defenders.
