This Sunday against the Furies, Jeremias brings up 150 games for Gumbies FFC. Jeremias is a rare person indeed as one of two people from our season sixteen premiership still on our list (premiership co-captain StFly the other).

Jeremias has been an excellent role player over their career playing a lot of the less glamourous positions. Their career began in season seven with the Southern Sharks for their one and only season in the comp before their merger (shudder). After a recess, Jeremias returned to the league, and the (then Geelong) Gumbies, in season 13 sticking around until season 25.

Last season, Jeremias was coaxed back to the league and club by Wosh and we are very happy to have them back in Gumbania. On-field, Jeremias had their career best match on the weekend with 116 DT. Their previous best was in the season 21 grand final (which we sadly lost) but no fault of Jeremias with a huge performance in a losing cause.

As a mod on the Carlton board, Jeremias may well be quite busy modding cheers or tears posts depending on how the bluebaggers fare. So, as we may not see you much at the weekend, kudos to you on your 150th game and life membership with the club. You are the eleventh to that mark of which four others will be playing in our game- StFly, NSWCROW and Barrybran for us and Brick Loosener for the Furies.

Almost everyone racked up the stats like Wayne Carey consumes his (crushed up) anti-inflammatories. GWS Goose returned to form with 34 touches, equalled by cats_09 in the best ruck performance by a Gumbies player in many seasons. Up forward, Chat Pile kicked eight and Mop three as they continue their battle for the full-forward spot.

Cloudy weather as we had yesterday generates the best stats and boy did we take advantage! Our season stats are starting to look more normal now.






It was a rare occasion where we had more match thread posts than our opposition. It certainly helped having DragoDelph drop by for a week. Hope you enjoyed your time with us and thank you for hanging with us Drago.



We have the Demons. I will let you know when the thread goes up. The Dees are probably the chattiest team in Sweet this season so hope many of us show up to counter and get some verbal tennis happening.
