This weekend, our fabulous clubman bone2468 reaches 150 career matches and as they've all been for the Gumbies, life membership of the club. Now in our 21st year, bone becomes just the fourteenth person to the 150 mark for the club.

Recruited in season 29 for the purposes of a reptilian expansion bid, bone stuck around when that bid didn't get up. Not one to post quantity in match threads, he is an active and present part of our club posting in the match threads/team threads or the PM around work commitments. Due to dualling (at the time) Aaron Sandilands avatars, bone could be confused with a former member of the Furies in Bastyy and this became a Sweet FA meme for a while.

On the week of match 100, bone had a significant personal milestone so this may feel a bit of a letdown in comparison. Hopefully GWS Goose has organised manufacture of some boner pins in honour of this occasion.

Round Seven:
We broke our losing streak with a hard-fought defeat over the Demons in bone2468's 150th match. The margin exceeded no more than 14 points at any point of the game to emphasise its closeness. Most pleasing was the way we ran out the match kicking five goals to two in the last quarter. GWS Goose kicked a career best 6 goals while beez also recorded a career high with 136 DT points in the match. Jeremias, Brick Loosener, Falconista and Dory_77 were also prominent.

Round Eight:
A second consecutive close game, however we were unsuccessful this week. The margin did not hit double figures in the first half as both sides jostled with the lead. We started the second half well and hit a 13 point lead but sadly from there conceded 5 of the last 6 goals of the match. Mop, beez, cats_09, ossie_21, Falconista and Brick Loosener all got a good amount of ball in the middle. Up forward, The Wookie played a great game and kicked their first goal in qooty; while Dory_77 and HotPiesWithSauce stood up well defensively.

Round Ten:
Gee, we are getting a lot of experience in close games. We came out well following the bye and led the Dragons at every change to record a victory against someone in a similar part of the ladder to us. Brick Loosener, beez and cats_09 were all prolific in the middle giving our forwards a great chance. Speaking of forwards, GWS Goose kicked an impressive 5.2 and DinoSoar made the most of limited opportunities with 2.2. At the other end of the field, HotPiesWithSauce and rye thrived from the half back line racking up plenty of disposals.

Round Twelve:
A much better performance this week as we only let the Royals lead once which was early in the game. There was a little blip in the this quarter as the Royals had 11 scoring shots to our four, but we finished strongly and piled on the last five goals of the match. The sim did a fair bit of magnet flipping so many of the team played multiple positions. Tigerlaird and DinoSoar in the forward pocket were spared of this and combined for an impressive 7.3 to be crucial up forward. While in the middle, ossie_21 was excellent and cats_09 tackled frequently. Others to play well include NSWCROW from the half forward line along with StFly, rye, Supercheapgiants and Mop who each were moved around positionally.

Round Thirteen:
In a pleasing development, we followed up last week's good win with another. We started the match quite slowly and were as much as 28 points down in the second quarter but from there, only two more Furies goals were scored as we got ourselves in front and burst away. CatToTheFuture and ossie_21 owned the middle of the ground combining for a whopping 62 disposals and 225 DT points. DinoSoar was excellent in the forward pocket kicking 5 straight from 5 disposals with GWS Goose chipping in with 3. The_Wookie, Falconista, beez and HotPiesWithSauce all put in good performances also and were important parts of the win.

Round Fourteen
For the second time this season we defeated the trinket collectors at Coney Island and, as a result, we've propelled ourselves to third on the ladder. It was an exceptionally close match with the margin rarely exceeding 7 points either way until the last quarter. GWS Goose, Dory_77 and NSWCROW were very important up forward combining for 6.6 and put plenty of pressure on the Warriors defence. Speaking of defence, Aucklander and The_Wookie shone and were both excellent. Meanwhile the midfield group racked up plenty of the ball with Brick Loosener, beez, Falconista and cats_09 all having big days and the duo of Mop and ossie_21 winning their matchups. There'll be a lot of Gumbies lining up for votes after today/yesterday's performance.

This Sunday, we have double milestones. Two players hit the 100 game milestone- CatToTheFuture and ossie_21 will become the 26th and 27th Gumbies players to the mark.

Recruited ahead of the season 33 season when DenieD and others embarked on an impressive recruitment drive, both players made an immediate impact on and off the field.

ossie's career began in the forward pocket position with the strict instructions of getting out of full forward Barrybran's way. Unlike fellow forward pocket Dory, ossie was prepared to sacrifice their own game to try and get Baz the accolades he was after. Mid-way through season 34, ossie was moved to defence where they stayed for a couple of seasons including playing half bank flank in our season 36 premiership triumph. For the last two seasons, ossie has been playing as part of the midfield and is our leading disposal winner this season thus far.

Like ossie, CTTF's has moved through various positions on the field in thier career thus far. CTTF started as a mid and came close to winning the Rising Star in his first season in the league. Their sophomore season brought a stint at ruck before moving to the forward flank. Next up came full back which CTTF aquitted themselves mcuh better to than the last guy

. Season 36 and early 37 saw CTTF play a multitude of positions as the magnets were frequently spun before settling primarily to a position on the half back line in 2024.

As well as both being part of the season 36 premiership, the parallels continue with both winning the peterss Trophy for the Gumbies' best defender (ossie season 34, CTTF season 35).

CTTF and ossie post in a majority of match threads and their presence is always valued. They are each one of the only 38 premiership Gumbies in the club's twenty year history and are top posters to go along with it. They are the first two people in the league from the much underrated class of '33 to hit triple figures. A milestone I hope Supercheapgiants and myself will join next season as fellow season 33'ers.

As well as both being part of the season 36 premiership, the parallels continue with both winning the peterss Trophy for the Gumbies' best defender (ossie season 34, CTTF season 35).

CTTF and ossie post in a majority of match threads and their presence is always valued. They are each one of the only 38 premiership Gumbies in the club's twenty year history and are top posters to go along with it. They are the first two people in the league from the much underrated class of '33 to hit triple figures. A milestone I hope Supercheapgiants and myself will join next season as fellow season 33'ers.

To quote prominent nineties philosopher Krusty the Clown, "what the hell was that?" It was a lousy day for us after the first quarter with the Bombers running away with a comfortable win kicking eleven goals to four in the middle quarters. Our centreline of Mop, Brick Loosener and ossie_21 were very good and each had no issues getting their hands on the ball. Meanwhile The_Wookie and CatToTheFuture played good games in defence. Sadly, it was not our day and could have been worse had GWS Goose, EagleOz and DinoSoar so efficiently combined their six disposals for six goals straight.

That was a thrashing! We should be flattered the final margin was as close as it is considering how poor our start was in this match. The Roys stormed out of the blocks and led 70-16 in the shadows of half time before we started to lift and add respectability to the scoreboard. cats_09, Brick Loosener, CatToTheFuture (in their 100th game no less) and Falconista were prominent through the middle and collected plenty of the ball. Dory_77, Mop and rye also all competed hard in a tough day at the office. Unfortunately the sim decided our other milestone player and usual mid, ossie_21 should spend plenty of time on the pine.

cats_09 reaches 50 games. And hasn't she stuffed a lot into her resume in that time! Congrats cats and may there be many more.

Alas, it is dwarfed by a rather big achievement as NSWCROW becomes the 81st player to 300 Sweet FA matches. It will also be Crow's 247th match for the Gumbies making him the third most capped plyer for this club.
