GWS and Blues trading 2015

Would something like this work?

Carlton trade: Bryce Gibbs, troy menzel and pick 21
Carlton receive:: kerridge, tomilson, plowman, Sumner, lamb, Phillips. 2016 first round pick via Adelaide.

Adelaide trade: Sam kerridge, pick 13, pick 28 and next year 1st round pick
Adelaide receive: Bryce gibbs and troy menzel

GWS trade: tomilson, plowman, sumner, lamb and phillips.
GWS receive: pick 13, 21 and 28

No chance. Adelaide would not give up 2 first round and 2 second round picks for menzel and gibbs.

Don't really get why the Blues are intent on picking up the GWS 'reserves'. Potentially just over a quarter of the team will be GWS seconds. Doesn't sound like much of a plan.

1 Or 2 will come good, another 1 or 2 will be good depth players. They have the list space to try them out. They are only risking pick in the 20s.

It lets the blues clear out the carp off there own list.

Blues fans i could of sworn Troy Menzel is a jet? who is also on the young side? I don't watch all your matches but me hearing he is in discussions for trade make me a tad confused and baffled?

he is. he's been slowed down by injuries and forced to play forward in a forward line that is non-existent. i've already said if rebuild means trading away our most talented young players for nothing they can have my membership

Depth is important, competition for spots is important, a strong VFL side is important, having guys at the right ages who might have a future instead of unmotivated list cloggers is important. So I like the 4 for 1 deal for the GWS players giving that Plowman puts the value in the deal and the other 3 help the depth. All are young enough that they could come good.

The Menzel for Kerridge and the pick part of the deal is the questionable bit.

But there's no point keeping Menzel if you think he'll eventually end up sooking it up in a bad side and leaving anyway.

He won't lose his value but he will waste 12 months of your time and cost getting in a solid player and pick if you wait.

I might be the only one out there who agrees but I think it's a bold decision.

That's a little high for a 15 gamer in 3 years and a bloke that's been pushed out of the starting 22 obviously due to their KPP stocks.
Happy to offer 21 and 28 if menzel leaves...
Is it? Two contracted highly touted KPP's for 1 highly touted KPP yet to even play. Of course they'd have to give something back.

There's nothing highly touted about Tomlinson or Plowman. Both are worth 2nd rounders. GWS are already chucking in a bunch of extras with the Plowman trade. Tomlinson for pick 21 would be fair enough or pick 19 at best.

Tomlinson is much better than a second round pick, is far more valuable than Plowman

Absolutely I know SOS is a legend of the club but come on? just because he was at the Giants does not mean these players who haven't been able to hack it at the top level will turn out to be the Josh Bruces, Dom tysons, Antohny Miles etc of Carlton. The difference between those names is GWS got stuff all for them! There's no point of giving up a proven young talent for players that have not yet burst onto the scene.

There is a reason all four are not being pursued by any other club, would be very suprised if any played more than 50 games for Carlton.

Lamb and Phillips are list cloggers lf the highest order.

Knock yourself out with Hampson !!
BTW , is that trade the reason for the tigers ultra conservative trading these days ??
The wrecking ball, Taylor Hunt and Townsend aren't taking you any higher any time soon ...

Wow. Seems pretty good for the blues. Any of those gws guys decent?
