That was the year that we messed it up most for me.
Marchbank was a solid choice, IMO, injuries have crueled him.
Even at the time Pickitt, Ahearn and McKenna seemed like reaches.

Taking Plowman and O'Rourke at 2 and 3 is probably as bad. That was the year that we messed it up most for me.

Yeah SOS seems to get a free pass on how badly he stuffed upTaking Plowman and O'Rourke at 2 and 3 is probably as bad.
Not taking Grundy is looking like an even worse mistake now it has come ot light that Sheedy and Choc Williams indicated they wanted him. Could have used 12 or 13 on him.
That is a pretty ordinary draft all round really.
Those 2 in a draft years in a row really slowed our progress given what we should have done.
Love by the mediaYeah SOS seems to get a free pass on how badly he stuffed up
Both signed for life.Only 2 players left out of the SOS solo draft years 2012-2014.
To be fair, they're Lachie Whitfield (#1, 2012) and Josh Kelly (#2, 2013).
2014 really was a crapshoot, though.

He was a bust.He had picks 1,2,3,9, 12, 13
And at least 1 and 2 in 2013 can't remember the rest
And 4,6,7, ,23
Over those 3 years.
Whitfield and Kelly are stars.
But a very low return for those 3 draft hands.
Even at the time they're were some very strange calls.
Imagine how strong the Giants could have been of they even got a few more of those right.
Horrendous.He was a bust.
Pretty sure the Giants were desperate to get Petracca that year. It’s the rare kind of top 10 where a pick in the top 3 where all were extremely highly rated was probably worth more than 2 or even 3 from 4-10.That was the year that we messed it up most for me.

He should of tagged SOS into the tweet. Remarkable record.....
How has using all your top picks on inside mids worked in the past? Even if Callaghan can run well and has good skills how much incremental impact can he make on your team?Thinking about our list… we should be just trying to draft outside speed and good users. If Callaghan can run well we should be taking him. Then either Rachele or Butler. Who else is a particularly good runner in this draft?
I agree. Even if Callaghan is not so great and wants to leave after 2 years, he should still have good draft value.Thinking about our list… we should be just trying to draft outside speed and good users. It is also a good example of where the AFL got it wrong. He had picks 1,2,3,9, 12, 13

Seven years ago now, but it has an effect for a few years yet. Age wise it matches up with why you fell away a bit last year and this year from the heights of 2019. That’s when these guys would have been hitting their straps. At the same time, nobody in that draft between Pickett at 4 and Miller at 29 has turned out to be much chop aside from De Goey at 5 (bad miss between your picks, but not an elite player) and Lever at 14 who was a flight risk coming off an ACL.That was the year that we messed it up most for me.

It's even more bizarre to think we probably got more than we deserved for Marcbank et al., when Silvagni brought them into Carlton. The return on the investment of those picks makes it even worse.
Marchbank, Pickett and a F2 for a F1, 45 & 58.
Ahern for pick 69.
McKenna was a salary dump, 2 picks swaps of similar value.
Steele was drafted @ 24 and returned an F2.
Finlayson we can call win, 69 turned into an F3.
Because if you keep him around he will bring his wife to the work Christmas party.Yeah SOS seems to get a free pass on how badly he stuffed up
You’ll need more than that.Who are gws supporters favouring for pick 2 ? Surely if it's not Callaghan sliding back makes sense. It's been floated on the Hawks board 5+future 1st for 2+13 could work for both parties and still gets gibcus or Andrew.
You’ll need more than that.
it would likely be your Pick 5 and your future first next year.
No way known we go back 3 spots & give you another first rounder.
Ludicrous proposition.
You want to give us #5 and your future first for our #2 AND #13. That proposal is horrendous for GWSHuh? I said future 1st .
