A guy whose current coach appears to have forgotten his name for a guy who would be best 6 in almost any team isn't evened out by a single round pick swap. We also have a lot of fwd options.

Worst personnel loss, on or off field in our short history, if we don't replace them with a version at least almost as good the exodus could become real.
I think that overstates things. No doubt a huge loss, but if we can't survive with mere standard welfare officer arrangements from here, we are doing it all wrong. I have faith the club will hire better than standard welfare team though

Ordinarily I'd agree, but look what happened to Brisbane.
The next two years we look to be very NSW focused with our recruiting so this shouldn't be as huge a deal as it would have been 12 months ago, but it will become one in the future if we can't find people that are able to turn an alien city into home for young kids.
Agree with what you are saying, but if the Lamberts are the only people capable, then we should give up now. Swanies never had the Lamberts. I think we both agree that the player welfare role at our club is one we need to maintain focus on and ensure we recruit well into that position. Just the same as our player development team and NEAFL coach and his staff.
