I'd absolutely hate it if my team carried on the way the Sydney players do, biggest bunch of faux tough guys in the league

Not here to defend to the death a Sydney player, I feel dirty enough already but if you just take note of those afl endorsed spin doctors ( commentators) and count the number if times his name made you sick and add to that that eight or so clearances you would see he went alright. At the game, I didn't notice Parker much. However, watching the replay, I notice that the the commentators call his brilliance whenever he touches the ball. Several other Sydney players get the same commentary - it's only natural that the general public get the impression that every Sydney player is a champion.
Parker''s a better than average midfielder, but hes no star.
And I think it was telling that he was unsighted when the game was on the line in the last quarter.
Hardwicks head didn't hit the ground in that second quarter tackle. Copped two heavy impacts in the firstI'm not getting the impression that there's any campaign to make sure Heeney doesn't get looked at. I'm sure it was just co-incidence that c7 cut the post-game highlight just at the instant before Hardwick's head hits the ground, and that this incident isn't in the highlights on the afl site...

Nothing suss going on here whatsoever.
LurkerI wish Hawthorn supporters would get out of that Saints draft pick thread. Ruining the spectacle
Or even a premiership that wasn't bought for them by uncles andy and gil.Bet those weak plastics wish they had the worst 3 peat side ever, or even the worst b2b side ever hahahahahah
That said I didn't see much wrong with that tackle. As you said his head didn't hit the ground. I'd be pretty pissed if we'd been penalised for that.Hardwicks head didn't hit the ground in that second quarter tackle. Copped two heavy impacts in the first
He didn't get a touch before then, anyway he should be booed. He walked out on us when we were trying to win premierships and went to the side that had just beaten us an was going to be a rival for the next few flags.I didn't hear a single bit of booing at the game until he hit Hodge. That's what triggered it.
The biggest one - Sydney trainer comes on the ground, runs right through the mark and grabs the ball and puts it on the ground. Proceeds to stand on the ground for 5 minutes doing nothing other than blocking so Sydney could leadOf course Longmire has a whinge about the goal review but fails to mention the
1. Lack of a 50m penalty paid to Hawthorn in the third after a Sydney player booted the ball 40m away after a holding the ball decision against the Swans. Should have been a hawk goal.
2. The soft as shit free to Franklin for a push in the back and then 50m against Sicily for failing to give the ball back even though he's clearly asking who's free kick it was. Sydney goal.
Knob.

Swans crying about the score review as though it I was obviously touched.
Ignoring the fact that even had it been, we won anyway.
Um.....no. Just no.I think only Ablett compares with him this century. Judd could have been in the same category if not for injury. He's been worth the price of entry almost every week since his second season.
It was indifferent. What was the Sydney player's reaction when the ball went through?
Love it that Brand was flying the flag when Buddy was roughing up Hodge. Watch out when his body develops a bit more, no KPF will push him around. In the game day thread Dixie Flatline made this comment
"Loved Brand's impersonation of Brian Lake to take that mark in the contest in the second quarter. Just quietly it deflated his opponents a fraction"
That was a chest mark, in the last he did a similar thing where he seemed out of the contest, then stuck his arms up and took a great grab.
He is developing well, if he wants to be our new Brian Lake he needs one more thing, those killer eyes,
not the bedroom type of Will Langford but those killer eyes that would scare opponents into questioning
the psychopathic nature of Brian Lake.
I was a doubter of Brand but it appears we may have a quality player on our hands here.
